WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

WannaBe: Germany won in Montreal, U.S. will travel to Montreal for semi match. (From Ottawa)

The other semi match will take place in Edmonton, with winners meeting in Vancouver.

Penguincw: Not sure if you caught the game, but the States won 2-0! Germany missed a penalty kick, the US got theirs in, and an insurance goal. They'll face the winner of Japan/England.

Tough journey for Germany, having faced the #5, then #3, and World #2 now.

Won't see any of the final, as I will be driving back from LA to SF.

Penguincw: Wow. England concedes a last minute goal, and Japan moves on the final, with both teams undefeated. In the final, it'll be USA vs. Japan, and for the Battle for 3rd, it's England vs. Germany (what up with all these WWII rematches).

WannaBe: The last WWC with US-JP ended on PK, unfortunately I will not be able to see the game, maybe, with luck, over time, maaaaybe the PK.

OhioChessFan: I sure can't say the better team won. I think if the US and Germany played 10 times, Germany wins 6, maybe 7.

WannaBe: You know what I love about going to Dodgers Stadium?

Stopping at Philips for a french dip beffore the game.

Watching all the beautiful ladies walking, and there were good ones yesterday. Yowza!!

You know what I hate about Dodgers Stadium?

All the walking, and it's up-hill, both ways, it seems. From the parking lot ($20) to the stadium, then to your seats.

Leaving the stadium, 53K people walking out, then 20K+ cars using 4 exits to reach two freeways.

Took me 40 minutes to go 5 miles to reach the on ramp.

Dodgers beating the Mets, plus firework show at the stadium, then on top of Chavez Ravine, we saw other cities set off their fireworks was incredible.

Jul-05-15  Pyke: Hi Wacky Wabbit, I somehow feel like Elmar Fudd.

You earned this one. My c4 pawn's a goner, after that my d pawn is doomed. My bishops got no scope - thanks to f6, my hopes of activating my dark squared bishop and thus saving the draw.

Well played, and thank you for the games.

Jul-05-15  chessmoron: 4-1 at half time. US is crushing Japan.

WannaBe: Did not see any of the game, at all. I only caught the (Final) score because I picked up the SF/WAS game on radio while driving, and J. Miller congratulated the National Team on the win.

Few cute lines, Brady cameo, grocery store clerk was hilarious. Love the Comic Con fight scene and Tick in Ted 2. =)
