WannaBe: I'm sorry, but she gave an horrible speech, and Elway was brief but to the point.

Kubiak was politically correct, and Von Miller have just signed with the Raaaaiders, a la Larry Brown.

Feb-07-16  Jim Bartle: Rules question: Is the quarterback permitted to wear one of those dark visor over his face. I would think that be an advantage.

WannaBe: I believe all players are allowed to wear the visor, if any, of their choice.

I noticed different variations of helmets worn by both teams, personal preference.

Feb-08-16  Jim Bartle: <I believe all players are allowed to wear the visor, if any, of their choice.>

But I have never seen a QB wear one of those dark visor where you can't see his face.

Now maybe they limit vision a little, so the QB can't see the field as well.

But it would seem to be a big advantage when DBs and linebackers can't look at his eyes on pass plays. It would add to the deception.

WannaBe: <Jim Bartle> After some googling, I found out that in order to wear tinted/darken visor, you must have medical clearance.

If you want to wear clear visor, go ahead.

Feb-08-16  Jim Bartle: Interesting. Thanks.

WannaBe: Purely amazing, at the 7 minute mark, you can see he broke an hair on the bow, very young I. Perlman.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTE...

Absolutely pure gold.

Feb-10-16  technical draw: Joshua Bell is famous for finishing a concerto with half of the bow hairs gone. Great Tchaikovsky!
Feb-10-16  technical draw: It's rare that an audience applauds between movements but in the Tchaikovsky above the audience breaks out in a huge applause for Perlman after the first movement.

  WannaBe: Sheeeeeeeet, this is nothing:

http://firstwefeast.com/eat/restaur...

You know how many Chinese Restaurant actually have egg inside their egg roll?! We've been doing this for centuries!

Don't even get me started on Spring Rolls, never found any Spring inside, either.

Feb-10-16  technical draw: Must I instruct a Chinese man about Chinese food?

Spring Rolls are made only in the spring.

There are no such things as egg rolls. It's just a Spring roll made after Spring. I know because I invented take-out.

Feb-10-16  TheFocus: Y'all didn't even make mention of summer rolls.
Feb-11-16  thegoodanarchist: TWTR is under $15.

Anyone wanna catch that falling knife?

FWIW, I would never buy TWTR. I don't see how retail investors could make money in the stock. Traders yes, but not investors.

WannaBe: Total utter blood-bath on Wall Street. My portfolio have gone down 40% in the last 6 month.

Wheeeeeee!!!!

Feb-11-16  thegoodanarchist: I am about 54% cash right now. Just waiting for more reasonable valuations.

By any measure, valuations are too high. Use PE, CAPE, dividend yield, EV:EBITDA, Market Cap:GVA, what-have-you.

My portfolio is mostly dividend aristocrats, so I am not down 40% over all, but I took a bath on 3 or 4 holdings.

Fortunately I got some good advice to stop buying stocks last year.

WannaBe: <thegoodanarchist> 401K & (Roth) IRA doing OK. Shouldn't have bought CHK & X on my trading account...

At least X is very volatile, making some money back selling covered calls on that. Bought F 2 years ago, and held onto it, but it's now down ~4.00 per share from my original purchase price. Ugh!!

Feb-11-16  thegoodanarchist: <Wannabe>

JNJ, my favorite stock, closed 2015 at $102.72.

Today it closed at $101.70, down almost exactly 1% on the year.

Wish I had bought more on Jan. 20th, when it got below $95.

This is when those defensive stocks really shine.
