WannaBe: <diceman> Totally have no idea how you got those names... I went back and tried with all my "sorry-ass" knowledge and still can't get there (Public Education... From 1980s) So blame them. =)))

Pun or otherwise, Salem (OR) ?? Really? The last panel of the (comic) strip??? Shy-Ann took me maybe a sec, or two, but the others took me a while to pronounce and make the connections.

Kudos.

WannaBe: OK, Pierre, (it's not pronounced Pee-ier) like French, but Peer (like Pier) the water front that wood post.. thing.

It's French, I know, just that when I just first moved to Sioux Falls and said that name, I was laughed out of the room/pub/bar/city/county/state.

(Do you know, that city is divided into 2 time zones, you can drink until 2AM and go the other side and drink another hour more?)

Yes, the time zone actually divides the city/state into 2 zones. =)))

There are probably dozens, if not hundreds of cities liks this in the US, but this one is the one I remember the most.

WannaBe: So if Puccini, Queen, and Gershin had a baby, would it be "Bohemian Rhapsody in Blue"??

Okay, I'll leave now, my own forum. I (Definitely) know where the doors are. Left, right, top, bottom, 6th dimension and through that worm hole. (But I'll leave the 5th dimension out of this, for music's sake. Since it is almost the age of Aquarius and... Oh, nevermind!!)

WannaBe: This wild fire in Canada that's affecting many sporting events is just plain nuts.

I remember the Tubbs Fire when I was living in San Mateo, and that fire was about an hour maybe 90 minutes by car away.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tubbs...

And the smoke and ashes went as far south as Santa Clara/San Jose.

This fire in Canada is affect sporting events as far south as Philadelphia, that is just <NUTS>.

Jun-10-23  technical draw: Cool making silly jokes with cities and states. Well I have one from 1961:

Hawaii?
I don't know Alaska.

I thought it was funny when I was 11.
