WannaBe: <keypusher> In a nutshell, Monte Carlo simulation is used in insurance, life, auto, home <A LOT>. It is also used in retirement simulation, e.g. how much saving you already have, male/female life expectancy, expected returning and amount withdrawn each year. Also some ...

WannaBe: <Breunor> Good question, I ran this game through the computer game analysis and: 31...Kg6 32.Bxa7 Bc4 33.Nd5 Nc6 34.Bc5 Ne5 35.Ke3 Bf1 36.Bd4 ⩱ +0.87 (41 ply) Possibly white was low on time and don't want to risk the chance to reaching move 40

WannaBe: So, the Tata Steel blitz were held in India, and players have 6 days to fly to NED for the next (or 2026 first) major event... What is the flight path? Here are some ideas: https://www.flightroutes.com/CCU-AMS

WannaBe: <EmperorAtahualpa> So far, <you vs yourself> and <DrDum> have expressed strong interest, but due to school, <you vs yourself> would like to see it delayed to a later starting date.

So far, no one else has shown interest.

WannaBe: <Cogano> You're playing white, you have to make first move. =)
Mar-22-06  blingice: My FICS name: blingice...of course.
Mar-22-06  McCool: <WannaBe> I'm loving your dp pic.

WannaBe: <McCool> dp pic?? I'm slightly confused...
Mar-22-06  McCool: display picture
Mar-22-06  blingice: Hmm <WannaBe>, my feelings are mixed about your avatar. I do believe that Looney Toons were perhaps some of the best shows to ever be played, and Bugs Bunny (or "Ephram the Retarded Rabbit", as Family Guy has indicated was the choice for his second name) is the most dominant character on that show, the image has become stale to me. Then again, revising your picture would just be bizarre, because I would feel like I was listening to a different kibitzer if you had a different avatar. For example, <Sneaky>, if he changed his avatar, people would be looking EVERYWHERE for him :D
Mar-22-06  Chess Classics: <blingice> <For example, <Sneaky>, if he changed his avatar, people would be looking EVERYWHERE for him :D> Hah, so true.

WannaBe: <blingice> Is this better? =)
Mar-22-06  blingice: <WannaBe> Hurrah! I can still recognize you!
Mar-22-06  Benzol: Is that all folks?

I liked the old avatar but then I might be conservative.

Mar-22-06  suenteus po 147: The old avatar did look more like Bugs was reviewing his game against Petrosian.
Mar-22-06  EmperorAtahualpa: <WannaBe> Wasn't somebody else using that avatar before? I would swear I've seen it before on this site.
Mar-22-06  brankat: <EmperorA> It may have been used by <me to Draw> before :)

WannaBe: <brankat> Not my fault, if you didn't see it coming (the draw, from all the live GM game coverages we've seen :-)!!

But I did test the water up to move 19, for my own future refenrence(s) to play against d4 players.

Mar-22-06  blingice: WHAT!?! NO! Change it back!!

WannaBe: <blingice> but I like my old self. :-) It's got a chess 'feel' to it!
Mar-23-06  blingice: <WannaBe> What would you have done if I took your avatar while you had it on the other Bugs Bunny avatar for that moment?

WannaBe: <blingice> I'd have to seriously kick your a$$$$$ in the corrsp. tourn. to win it back. :-))

But seriously, nothing.

(Call the NSA, get George W. on the phone, trace IP Adress of client computer, hack into FBI and Carnivour to obtain all personal data, destroy <blingice> as we know it. :-)

Mar-23-06  blingice: Both options are good.
Mar-23-06  Swapmeet: <Wannabe> Thanks for a really great game! You should be proud, you played very well, and the only real mistakes that I could find came in the end. I played 32...Bxc5 much too hastily, and I believe after that white had great winning chances. I would have had to really fight for a draw.

If only you had played 34.g4! instead of 34.Ke2?!, I would have been in big trouble.

Also, that comment I made about our kings was because I thought you were going to go straight for my h-pawn instead of coming over to the queenside. If you had, we both would have queened, and there were still drawing chances.

I would very much like to analyze the endgame with you in greater depth some time.

Mar-24-06  EmperorAtahualpa: <FICS> And yet another name for your list!

User: TigerPawns = "TigerPawns" on FICS!

Mar-24-06  Robin01: <WannaBe> Is gameknot similar to queenalice? Or more like Yahoo?
Mar-24-06  you vs yourself: <WannaBe> I have trouble logging in at gameknot. I am constantly getting this "It appears you have cookies disabled in your browser, click here for more information on how to enable cookies". I went and did what they asked me to. That is, tools, internet options, blah, blah... I even went to my firewall thingy and added gameknot.com to those "trusted sites". My comp's clock's working fine as well. But still, I am getting the same message. Do you know any solution to this problem?
