Jun-01-18  Dr Winston OBoogie: <rogge: <WinKing: <rogge: None of your business how much people post, is it?> Yeah it *is* my business <rogge> being a *paying member*!!!> Start your own site and moderate it.>

I kinda have and I have a lot more active members than this site and everyone gets treated equally. Everyone! My point is this. What about people like me who've had premium memberships bought for them and refused them, I don't do that because I'm cheap I do it to make a point. I would have bought at least 5 memberships by now for myself and the friends I have on this site but until people get treated equally I'm not spending a penny. It works both ways, why should <user a> pay the same amount as <user b> when they both get different treatment? I could point to over 100 examples of preferential treatment. Daniel will see fit to delete this post yet when people use the whistle function - which he encourages - he'll either take weeks to delete it or do nothing... depending on who blows the whistle of course :)

Nobody gives a @#$% about your self righteous bs point. You’re one of the @#$%*@!s who should need to pay to run your big yap.

  tpstar: <the biggest sock-puppeteer out there>

<Glenn> set an unbreakable record over the years.

User: tolengoy

The <Aunt Jemima>/<Mrs Butterworth>/<Hungry Jack> lineage was the second biggest Sockpuppetmaster in site history. If y'all don't remember that person, then I won't remind you.

Good thing we have Vandals around.

You can add <Muhammad speaks> and 3 others to that fellas sick puppies, my ignore list is a testament to his madness.

Penguincw: On an unrelated note, would it be possible to have a function where you could automatically order all games in a game collection in chronological order?

Thanks.

chessgames.com: <would it be possible to have a function where you could automatically order all games in a game collection in chronological order?> That's a great idea, and should be very simple to implement.

<Sargon> will return shortly. A good chunk of the correction slip backlog was recently handled by myself and Kevin.

Jun-01-18  zanzibar: <<TP> Good thing we have Vandals around.>

You've repeated this a couple of times now. What exactly do you mean by it?

Jun-01-18  Dr Winston OBoogie: The margins are all off in the cafe again. I can only imagine which drunk is responsible.

Zanzy. I'm hoping he means the English lemon and lime but he'll mean everyone he's ever argued with on this site since 2005 :)

Daniel. Check your email please.

Jun-01-18  zanzibar: Oh, <tpstar> has me on ignore... so I think he'll not see my comment asking for clarification. Which is a bit strange given a reply to the "sock puppeteer" comment.

Anyways, I'll be glad to reciprocate, as his incessant diatribe and increasingly brittle vitriol was wearing thin(*).

For the record, I think <tpstar> was getting his vandals confused - "if you see one historian, you've seen 'em all".

(*) E.g. Kenneth S Rogoff (kibitz #324429)

like I should get in the middle!? Give me a break.

The guy has a vandal fixation, which is a bit disconcerting...

offramp: <Tabanus: I too like the idea of limiting N posts to say 2-3 per day.>

That is reasonable but how about limiting any kibitzer to 3 posts a day on the Rogoff page. That would speed up the whole site enormously.

Jun-02-18  zanzibar: <<zborris8> How many sockpuppets are we allowed to own again?>

I don't think <CG> encourages sockpuppets, in fact, I think they discourage them.

(Note: I don't speak in any kind of official capacity - but just do a kibitz search and you'll see the topic discussed before)

Multiple accounts, when used for constructive purposes, are allowed, and I think there's no formal limit. I think <JFQ> might hold the record in this department, though only the extra account, <WCC>, comes to mind at the moment.

Ha! Then it's both overused, and misapplied.

chessgames.com: <I don't think <CG> encourages sockpuppets, in fact, I think they discourage them. ... Multiple accounts, when used for constructive purposes, are allowed, and I think there's no formal limit.> That's exactly right. The most egregious violations of multi-accounting are making them to avoid probation, and cheating in our games/contests. Sockpuppets to create the appearance of a dialogue when it's really just one person monologuing are strongly discouraged.

<offramp: Can you sort out the current live game?> Sorry about that; the board numbers were mixed up. It's better now, but probably going to end any minute.

Jun-02-18  diceman: <zborris8:
