Check It Out: <zanshin: <SugarDom: It's a shame that such a player such as Caruana does not even have a profile pic.> Agree 100%. Come on <CG> use this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:C...

It's in the public domain.>

This post deserves repeating. Come on Chessgames, put up Caruana's picture!

Tabanus: Hi <cg>, the new French champion Almira Skripchenko-Lautier divorced Lautier years ago. She is now married to GM Laurent Fressinet. Her name seems to be simply Skripchenko. Please change.

  Tabanus: Thanks ceegee! :)

<whiteshark> The next that came to my mind was, how about asking cg to delete all <Dredge Rivers>'s posts in one stroke ;)

Check It Out: Chessgames, thank you for putting Caruana's picture up at his profile!!
Aug-25-10  SugarDom: Dear Chessgames,

There is serious spamming in the Wesley So page by a troll who keeps changing accounts and the page is becoming unusable. We have blown the whistle. Please take action.

Aug-26-10  Benzol: <Aug-14-10
chessgames.com: <Benzol: <chessgames> I'm losing track of myself. Can you tell me if I've already uploaded a game between Boleslavsky and Moiseev from the "Iskra" Championship played at Odessa in 1948?> You currently have a few games from Iskra in the upload queue, but none involving Moiseev. Feel free to add it to the queue, we'll be processing them within the next few days.>

<Chessgames> If you process my latest game submissions you will find a number by player of the day Herman Claudius van Riemsdijk

Aug-26-10  rapidcitychess: Hello again, since I'm so new to the premium features, is it possible to search for multiple queen endgames, if there are any games like that?
Aug-26-10  hms123: <rapidcitychess> In general, you can look here: Endgame Explorer but I didn't find multiple queen games.

  tpstar: Game Collection: Multi-queens!
Aug-26-10  rapidcitychess: Yay, thank you! :D
Aug-27-10  whiteshark: <chessgames.com> You have changed the name to Almira Skripchenko but in some pgns she still have her old double name, e.g. A Skripchenko vs M Purtseladze, 2010 or Carlsen vs A Skripchenko, 2008 Wonder why? :D

chessgames.com: <There is serious spamming in the Wesley So page by a troll who keeps changing accounts and the page is becoming unusable.> Not only does he change his username but he keeps coming up with new emails and new IP addresses. Fortunately we can ban him much quicker than he can establish a new account and it appears that he's grown tired of that game, at least for now.

Incidentally, it's not necessary to put such users on your ignore list, if you don't want to. Their posts have been purged and they are not able to post.

<Benzol: If you process my latest game submissions you will find a number by player of the day Herman Claudius van Riemsdijk> Thanks.

<rapidcitychess: Hello again, since I'm so new to the premium features, is it possible to search for multiple queen endgames> Tpstar had the right idea, use game collections, such as Game Collection: Multi-queens!. Also about locating the person who paid for your premium account, we deleted the posts here regarding his identity as he truly would like to remain anonymous. Your gratitude has been observed by him and that is thanks enough.

<whiteshark: <chessgames.com> You have changed the name to Almira Skripchenko but in some pgns she still have her old double name> That will change over time. There is a software agent that crawls slowly through the database and normalizes PGN headers to match database information. We don't run that program every time we make a change (otherwise we'd be running it 10 times a day) but rest assured those games will change eventually.

<rapidcitychess: What are the Caisser awards??> It's an informal tradition started by Chessgames members to recognize the best users, posts, games, and even puns that occurred during the previous year. It takes place in December.

chessgames.com: You will indeed have the white pieces.
Aug-28-10  technical draw: Great! I vote 1.e4, Best by test!
Aug-28-10  SugarDom: It's not so much for the content but for the spamming that drowns the normal kibitzes. The WS page is usable again for passing chess info.

Thank you Chessgames for taking action.

Aug-28-10  twinlark: Hi ceegee!

Just thought I'd remind you the home page needs updating as some of the info under the Puzzle of the Day is obsolete. Seeing as that is the display page for incoming kibitzers, lurkers and tourists, it may be a better look if it was kept current.

Aug-29-10  Hesam7: <CG.com> why isn't there a page for the Leko - Gelfand match? It is almost over!
