May-16-11  shivasuri4: <smacksgoose> has posted thrice since making his account a couple of days ago and all three of them have attacked the players concerned.Calls for some action,I think.
May-16-11  hms123: <shivasuri4> First, you should "blow the whistle" on the age with the post. Second, while I don't think much of the posts myself, they are not all that bad.
May-16-11  technical draw: <hms123> <First, you should "blow the whistle" on the age >

When you say this you're not insinuating that TD is old, right? Because I can blow the whistle on some older cats here too.

May-16-11  hms123: <TD> No, not at all. Besides, I am older than dirt myself.
May-17-11  LIFE Master AJ: S Minero Pineda vs A J Goldsby, 2003

I think that the trolls have gone too far this time. They have insinuated that children are not safe around me, and the latest posts talk about sex with family members.

I really need to know: are you going to enforce your guidelines ... or is it now, anything goes?

May-17-11  LIFE Master AJ: Remember - if you are too busy to deal with this stuff ... there is always a simple answer. (Give me control over all the pages with my games.)

The alternative is to allow this type of filth to continue (indefinitely) ...

May-17-11  Pyke: From the Kibitzer's Cafe <Robin01: <Chessgames>How about a forum for the Nakamura v. Ponomariov and Robson v. Finegold matches in St. Louis? Thanks.>

I second that request.

May-17-11  shivasuri4: mindfreakkk continues to make some absurd posts like the following. Please do something about it.

<mindfreakkk: Anapoly James Karpov is not a toilet player like Kramnik. He must study more the toilet theory to become a real romantic chess player.>

<mindfreakkk: Anapoly James Karpov is not a toilet player like Kramnik. He must study more the toilet theory to become a real romantic chess player.>

May-17-11  Pyke: <NOTE: Do NOT use this page to report specific violations of posting policy. Instead, use the Whistle function located at the bottom of all kibitzing areas. >
May-17-11  shivasuri4: <Pyke>,that's very well. However I distinctly remember that I had blown the whistle earlier. No action has seemingly been taken against the user. What else do you expect me to do?
May-17-11  hms123: <shivasuri4> I think you misunderstand what <blowing the whistle> actually does. It alerts the admins to a potential problem. They may decide that you have over-reacted in a specific instance and thus not take action. They may decide that you are right in this instance. <Blowing the whistle>, however, does not mean that the admins must take the action you would like for them to take.
May-17-11  Pyke: Exactly <Hms123>! I think that it's also good to keep in mind that the admins are busy people and it may therefore take a while before they take action.
May-17-11  Robin01: Any chance for a forum for the Nakamura v. Ponomariov and Robson v. Finegold matches in St. Louis? Thanks.
May-17-11  Jim Bartle: Focus: I still think the attacks on AJ have gone way too far. FSR is the only person with a serious complaint about his attacks.
May-17-11  Everyone: <TheFocus <you constantly imagine everyone is out to get you. WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU DO!>> You put it in simple words that Everyone can understand. Thank you, Everyone appreciates it.
May-17-11  Everyone: has been caught in the middle of a verbal dispute.
May-17-11  rogge: <TheFocus> Yeah, I know. But I wouldn't spend more time and energy on the Life Master ;)
May-17-11  Pyke: Sorry to repost this again, but with all this off-topic nonsense it might otherwise get lost:

Could we please have a forum for the matches in Saint Louis between:

Nakamura - Ponomariov and

Finegold - Robson

Thanks.

May-18-11  shivasuri4: <hms123>,overreacting?I suggest you read the absurd posts by <mindfreakkk> and then decide.Doesn't plain common sense suggest that they aren't meant to be there?

<Pyke>,what does 'a while' mean?I complained months ago.And did you notice that the concerned posts by <mindfreakkk> have disappeared just a day or two after I asked them to do something about it?Notice the huge difference in time periods of the requisite action taken.

Thank you,<chessgames.com>, for the prompt action in this case.In future,I shall blow the whistle twice, wait for 15 days to see if any action has been taken, and then post the annoying posts on your forum if nothing's been done.

May-18-11  shivasuri4: Before someone points out that <mindfreakkk> has posted nothing offensive before this month and I hence could not have blown the whistle months ago,I would like to note that the concerned posts have been deleted much later (since the time they were posted) by <chessgames.com> and hence can't be seen now.I hadn't noticed the late deletions until a few days ago.So I apologise if any harm has been caused.Thank you.
May-18-11  Knight13: <shivasuri4> I am sure <chessgames.com> is doing their best to nullify the problems. Thank you for contributing by blowing the whistles.
May-18-11  myschkin: . . .

Dear chessgames staff,

I want you to delete all my(schkin) posts around (including this one).

There is no way to access the genuine mail account from ‘06 to contact you – can’t remember the PW. Well the plan with blowing the whistle on my own stuff was somewhat premature in retrospect (2k+ without premmie search, impossible), but hey good to know ‘haunted souls’ can make use of it :D

Over the last couple of month there is an ongoing witch-hunt on your site and I will not allow my ‘name’ being connected with it anymore + I lost motivation for future activity under the current policy, too. Since my crap would be stored virtually for eternity (no matter what happens to the page) I want ‘control’ to minimize possible ‘abuse’ in my absence. There is no need my loved ones stumble over something like that by mistake.

One clear statement from you cg.com in the last couple of month would have been really helpful. Just to show some backbone and not at all to offer an ultimate solution, honestly. Hurting on purpose (not all is simple kindergarten trash talk) isn’t tolerated here at your place, period. You did this in the past on several occasions and I see no excuse whatsoever not to follow rules in 2011.

Well I’m too much of an idiot to truely understand the general argumentation from members that bullying is nothing serious at all and best is to behave like http://www.mischiefmaricookies.com/... - the important thing: <I am a happier idiot now> ^^

Hanging out in the debts of the database with lots of fine souls will be the dominant impression in the end surely.

All the best for the future & keep this place nice!

tpstar: <myschkin> I just reviewed all of your posts from 2006 and found two sharp interactions but nothing seriously objectionable. Remember you were involved in the World game against GM Nickel, so those posts should remain.

If your previous posting history really bothers you for any reason, choose a new handle and start over. Whatever you do, don't leave. =)

chessgames.com: <myschkin> I'm sorry we can't delete everything you've ever posted here. That would render many dialogues unintelligible and besides, it would remove so many great posts.

If you email us and give us some hint as to the kinds of posts to look for, perhaps a keyword to search on, we'd be happy to do what we can. Your email address isn't an issue.

Also as tpstar points out, it is not against our rules to establish a new account if you want to dissociate yourself from your current one.

chessgames.com: Note: We just went through the Whistle queue and handled all issues, including some minor issues that have been outstanding for a week or two.

We also removed a bunch of banter from this page which was either off topic, non constructive, or both.
