Jan-11-12  achieve: The Tata link on the homepage is broken, it connects to Romanian Superliga (2011)

Very cheap trick!

Jan-11-12  achieve: Right on <Penguin> - and it still isn't fixed <4 hours later>! - they better not be doing that "sleep thing" overthere....

Frankly, we've come to expect more from the World's Premier Chess Site, <chessgames.com>!

chessgames.com: <Tata Steel> Our apologies, it works now.

<dakgootje> Ha! We often get mixed up with chessclub.com but this time it is especially funny, for some reason.

By the way, if you are having trouble with <Chess Viewer Deluxe> please switch over to <Chess Viewer Deluxe II (beta)>. Soon that one will be the default, and who knows, maybe it will fix something.

Jan-12-12  matebay: <nanobrain: I'm on ignore at wannabe's page. This is electoral fraud. I'm nominated in all categories but can't vote!>

Hi Boss. A travesty of justice taking place. The disqualification of the right to vote comes only upon a verdict of guilty in a criminal offense as a form of accessory penalty. Nanobrain has not been charged of any. Hence, no trial and no decision. How can he be dealt out this penalty. <Wannabe> has proven to be a vindictive wabbit- not worthy of a Comelec commissioner. I move he be impeached at once.

Jan-12-12  Pyke: Dear <matebay>,

I think <Wannabe> is doing a wonderful job of hosting the Caissars.

Regarding the ignore-issue, I think it helps to keep in mind that <Wannabe> hasn't placed anyone on there out of a mere whim. He's one of the most easy-going and fun people here on this page.

It's rather the case that those on ignore really worked hard for being put there. A little bit of introspection would be in order.

I hope <Wannabe> continues his fine work - he deserves our gratitude.

Jan-12-12  MORPHYEUS: I don't think so. The commissioner should be neutral and don't engage in partisanship.

He lost some credibility there.

Sorry.

Jan-12-12  TheFocus: <matebay> If you had paid any attention, I brought <nanobrain>'s complaint to <Wannabe> and he un-Ignored <nanobrain>.

Your shift is over now, Sheriff. Go home and sleep it off.

Jan-12-12  TiburcioTinio: Wannabe can put anyone on ignore as a cg member but not as caissar host. Otherwise he will have power to select voters he likes and control the outcome of the results. He is cheating plain and simple. The caissar is a sham.
Jan-12-12  TheFocus: <TuberculosisTinyToon> Then maybe you won't vote.
Jan-12-12  TiburcioTinio: What about the past votes? They should be nullified and wannabe should first clean his ignore lists
Jan-12-12  TiburcioTinio: Hocus, you're even defending a cheat.
Jan-12-12  MORPHYEUS: Hocus? Focus?

heh. :)

Nah. Let it go, TT. We don't need awards and self-gratification.

Jan-12-12  matebay: What about me. <wannabe> has put me on ignore too. How can I support the candidacy of my LMAJ who I nominated in all categories?

The same with <tpstar>..I posted Wesley So's best games in his forum but he erased it as fast as lightning. He erased it so fast, the thunder was not able to sound.

Jan-12-12  matebay: <Regarding the ignore-issue, I think it helps to keep in mind that <Wannabe> hasn't placed anyone on there out of a mere whim.>

If it's not whim, I call it censorship...<wannabe> want's only high class, high brow voters to participate...the caissar is off limits to low class, low brow voters.

<I hope <Wannabe> continues his fine work - he deserves our gratitude.>

I hope <wannabe> be impeached. A CG hearing be held to bring back the integrity of the caissar awards- he deserves to be prosecuted for his unforgivable violation of human and avatar's rights.

Jan-13-12  Colonel Mortimer: <matebay:> <What about me. <wannabe> has put me on ignore too. How can I support the candidacy of my LMAJ who I nominated in all categories?>

Nominating one person, let alone <AJ>, in all categories is hardly serious. No great injustice done.

Jan-13-12  Pyke: <Matebay> But what if someone breaks the rules over and over and over again?

What if this person gets warned in a friendly manner not to do so.

Yet, still he breaks all the rules of decent behaviour, insulting people left and right.

Such a person can certainly be put on ignore. As I said, people on ignore earned to be put there.

Jan-13-12  matebay: <Yet, still he breaks all the rules of decent behaviour, insulting people left and right.>

<Wannabe> stands guilty. Out from the blue and without any provocation, he started the rampage and aggravated the melee that ensued in the Wesley So page when he unloaded his artillery of insults to the Wesley So fans...referring to him and <tpstar> as oozing with class, he referred to the Wesley So fans as low class and low brow.

His aim was so out of target that the bullets bounced back against the walls like a boomerang and hit him instead. Hit him right thru the temple...making him so disconcerted that he put <nanobrain> and yours truly on ignore.

Jan-13-12  matebay: <Such a person can certainly be put on ignore. As I said, people on ignore earned to be put there.>

I would like to quote my friend <tibs> on that one:

<TiburcioTinio: Wannabe can put anyone on ignore as a cg member but not as caissar host. Otherwise he will have power to select voters he likes and control the outcome of the results. He is cheating plain and simple. The caissar is a sham.>

Jan-13-12  TiburcioTinio: Yes you can put anyone on ignore BUT NOT when your forum is the host to a voting being done. If you want to ignore cg voters then pass the hosting to another. You pretend you have high sense of right and wrong but here you defend a clear case of unfairness.
Jan-13-12  TiburcioTinio: They look down at us sir matebay. They are very angry when we stand up to them. Like when slaves fight their masters. They insult us when they think we did wrong. But if their own do an injustice It's just ok with them and even defend them.
Jan-13-12  TiburcioTinio: This bigot doesn't even say sorry. He just go on as if what he did was right. He says he won't host the caissar again. Good riddance and keep your word!
Jan-13-12  Colonel Mortimer: I must say purely from an abstract point of view, the person who is counting the votes should count ALL the votes. It prejudices the Caissar awards when the person counting the votes has people on ignore, resulting in those persons votes being ignored.

<matebay> does have a point.

Jan-13-12  TiburcioTinio: Answer this plainly and simply- is it right to deprive voters their right to vote just because you don't like them?
