 | | chessgames.com: <Memethecat> We are trying to solve the problem. There isn't much we can tell you to do at this point but to thank you for your patience. <MarkFinan> No we were not aware of that app, but that's OK; linking to web resources is not a crime. |

 | | WCC Editing Project:
Good evening.
I just submitted a game, and I noticed that the pgn came out in the <upload facility box> as one long string, with no line breaks? This never happened before, but I didn't "manually" put in line breaks, fearing the <line break issue> that came up previously. Is there something wrong with the pgn I submitted, to cause it to come out in one long line like that? If there is a problem, please let me know.
Thank you for your patience with <me vs. pgn upload facility>. |

| Jul-16-14 | | MarkFinan: <All chess game displays and other useful information was courteously supplied by Mr. Daniel Freeman of Chessgames.com. His remarkable web site contains a wealth of historical information and the ability to retrace the moves of thousands of contests between the giants of the chess world.> My bad! This was written in the "other stuff" part of the app. |

Ok thank you! I hadn't seen that post. It was the top secret wrap around fix all along... |

Maybe your host is renting space to an 'undesirable'.
Any balanced reporting of the massacre in Gaza is frowned upon, this alone could bring about a DOS attack. Just an idea.
Do you have a list of their customers? |

Can we please have a forum for the upcoming(?) <2014 TROMSK CHESS OLYMPIAD> so we can discuss the scandal involving the exclusion of the Russian Women's Team from the event by the organizers? Thanks

 | | chessgames.com: Good idea.
Here you go: Chess Olympiad (2014) and perhaps more importantly Chess Olympiad (Women) (2014). |

 | | chessgames.com: I've learned that there is a widely supported browser feature called "soft wrapping" where what you put into a form looks word-wrapped, but when you press the submit button it actually sends it unwrapped. That would be ideal for purposes of PGN submission. I'll see what I can do to make that happen. |
|
Jul-17-14
 | | chessgames.com: We've turned on "soft wrapping" — but just to be doubly certain, we also added code that stitches together broken O-O and 1/2-1/2. |

 | | Tabanus: Hi CG, I think you can now link to Game Collection: FIDE Country Codes (2014) on the tournament nomination page (instead of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_31...) as the Bistro wants <historical FIDE codes without exception> by a 5-0 vote. |
