Richard Taylor: <<Richard Taylor: <CG.com>For the record I discovered why the PGNs for the NZ Seniors (earlier this year) were unobtainable. They were for the simple reason that no one wanted to enter in all those games.> I figured as much. That makes the scores all the more valuable. If you transcribe scores of your own games into PGN format we'd be happy to have them.>>

I will. I just discovered games going back to 1961-64. In 1961 I played in (what is effectively now) the NZ Junior Championship, I had lost those (one has an interesting combination or tactic I played) but I also have a game I played against J R Phillips who was a chess prodigy but died too young. He was, like GM Chandler champion of NZ at the age of 14. He won against me. Not sure if the game is good enough but I still have a lot of old score sheets to go through. Regards, RT. I also have a number of combinative games played this century (lol!) as well as my Q sacs and so on still to go up.

I will leave out all my atrocious games. But I still have the one with the Fischer trap (in the accel. Dragon) he learned from Shakmaty and sprung on poor old Reshevsky. I was waiting for it and it happened!

MissScarlett: <It will be replaced by something uncontroversial. I'm sorry, Miss Scarlet.>

What for?

Thank you.

<Miss Scarlett> I liked your former avatar.

MissScarlett: I like my current avatar. What I don't like are liberals posing as conservatives. @#$% 'em.
Sep-17-15  zanzibar: <MS> So you're not just being provocative?

By the way, I find the aspect ratio ugly for the Stainless Banner version (or is it the VI battle flag?).

I much prefer the 2nd Confederate Navy Jack:

Or the Blood Stained Banner design:

The current avatar is squaresville.

MissScarlett: Yes, it's horizontally challenged. I can live with it. It's others who have the problem.

MissScarlett: This might be a good time to relate that I think I turned up a couple of new Capa games in <The New York Tribune>. Both from the simul he gave at the City of London CC in 1913; one of George Edward Wainwright 's lost victories, and a win over John Herbert White (White was killing him!). At least, the games are new to me; they don't appear here:

http://www.slideshare.net/knyaz1000...

Winter would've killed to get these games! I can picture him sitting there, in his little Swiss canton, absolutely infuriated.

Sep-17-15  zanzibar: <MS> for all we know, you are sitting in a little Swiss canton, absolutely infuriating. Ha!
Sep-17-15  TheFocus: And now come to grace us here CeeGee.

Hail <Edward Winter>!!

You stated the nazi flag can't be used, but were vague about the confederate flag. I call that a waffle.

chessgames.com: <Check It Out> I stand corrected, I did in fact comment on the swastika after somebody brought up a hypothetical. As much as I try to conceal my personal opinions, I surely let it slip out that I find the Nazi swastika more offensive than the Confederate flag.

In any case, avatar #1375 is now the Union Jack and to my knowledge there are no Confederate flags to be found anywhere on this site. I hope that settles the matter.

chessgames.com: I apologize for deleting some earnest and witty posts here from members, but I'm trying to steer this away from a political discussion. As I just wrote: <I hope this settles the matter.>

Now about Capablanca games: anything that would make Edward Winter jealous is a great thing.

Should I claim that I slept with his girlfriend?
