 | | offramp: <chancho>, Yes, that's a good one. But how about longer hair and a yankee flag? I mean a US flag. How long is Naka's hair at the moment? I always imagine him with longish hair. |

| Feb-08-16 | | zanzibar: I'm with <offramp>, Nakamura stands ready for a new photo anyways. One with a little more scruff. |
|
| Feb-08-16 | | zanzibar: I'm also with <MissS> and several other posters who express a wish for better tracking of submitted games. |
|
| Feb-08-16 | | zanzibar: <chessgames>/<CG> speaking of which... Can we reopen the topic of bulk submission, aka automatic renormalization, aka automatic tournament creation. And if not the full-scale tournament, then automatic collection creation? (Actually through, why not the whole enchilada? Yes, why not automatic tournament creation?) The enchiladas are ripe and ready for picking. |

 | | WannaBe: <YouRang> I tested it with IE, FireFox, and Chrome, the behaviour you described only happen with IE. (any and all versions, IE9, IE10, IE11) A quick google search turned up this link: https://www.quora.com/Why-does-Inte... Of course, with browsers disabling Java plug-in, and if you want to use Chess Viewer Deluxe, you are kinda stuck with using IE. My recommendation, is to take a small screwdriver and pop out the ESC key and place a piece of tape over it. =)) Of course, you'd have to do it with every keyboard that you use to access CG.com. |
|
| Feb-08-16 | | YouRang: <WannaBe> Thanks, and you're right -- here at work where I use Chrome, I don't see the problem. I'll take a peek at your link. I can't believe this is considered to be an "okay" thing by Microsoft. |

 | | MissScarlett: < I'm also with <MissS> and several other posters who express a wish for better tracking of submitted games.> I trust that <cg.com>'s quietude is a sign that the announcement of said feature is imminent. The lesson seems to be, only when <MissScarlett> becomes involved, do things get done around here. |

| Feb-08-16 | | zanzibar: <MissS> yes, indeed, your terrible, awe-inspiring, prodigiousness causes us all to tremble and quake. |

 | | tpstar: I prefer Prodigious Inspiring Terrible Awe.
<YouRang> Don't bump the Esc key. |
|
| Feb-09-16 | | zanzibar: Personally, I don't like the look of a keyboard with a key popped off - though we've all had to use such at one time or another - the aesthetics is wrong. My preference is to shim the key up and then epoxy it in place. You know, to show you mean business in the matter. Preferably the two tube packages that you mix yourself (avoid the syringe mixing crap). You can use the black stuff (e.g. J+B cold weld) if your keyboard is black, but the normal mix will work just fine for everyone. |

| Feb-11-16 | | morfishine: I was able to find Irving Chernev's player page: Irving Chernev But his name is not listed in the CHESS PLAYERS DIRECTORY. Is it because he's not considered 'one of the most eminent chess players in the database'? |

| Feb-11-16 | | Boomie: <chessgames.com>
This is probably not new but...
I'd like to see a calendar of upcoming events on the Search page. Failing that, can someone direct me to such a calendar on the Web? |

| Feb-11-16 | | zanzibar: <RE: Modern Tournament Intros> In connection with the reminder <twinlark> posted above, I'd like to send a shout-out for these new fantastic intros: Tradewise Gibraltar (2016)
Tata Steel (2016) They're very information, concise, and streamlined. Just what the doctor ordered, sort of speak. I almost wish I could jump right to the intros with the above links. If this treatment of newly added tournaments becomes systematic, then one might say, as a sage poster once said before, and I paraphrase - <miracles are being performed>. In this case, I think by <twinlark>. |

 | | Check It Out: Chessgames: You replaced my pun with another pun for today's GOTD (personally, I think mine is better). Is this an error or are you going to start replacing other game puns as well? Navara vs R Wojtaszek, 2015 (kibitz #67) |
