Oh -- and I reckon you're quite correct in your suspicion that your database search methods are being imitated, though not equalled. I suppose I can take some pride in being the last techno-caveman to actually solve a clue or three. And even I use Chessbase for name searches. We could both voluntarily opt out of next year's quiz -- if they let us set the puzzles. I think I could be pretty fiendish in ways that no search engine could reach.
