I was confused, because I often use "cya" as short for "see ya", to sign off - but it doesn't make sense to *start* a post with that... Iz klear nao. :) |

But, according the rules of IQ test, in order to abjudicate the PZ's result, you have to find sufficient number of peaple stupider than him. IMHO, mission impossible. BTW, that gracious host of this site is ever present in the integral version. P.S. My favourite song, Hound Dog, is dedicated to a young and smart lion ready to take over the world. |

   |    | Open Defence: Merry Christmas <Dom>! |

Dec-25-10
   |    | Domdaniel: <Deffi> Thanks. My ambition for many years has been to eat Indian food on Christmas Day -- mainly cos I *prefer* it to the traditional turkey. And this year, with no turkey available, few mouths to feed, a perfect opportunity to eat what I like ... I found myself short on some key ingredients for said Indian. Too busy Klu hunting. So I ruffled up something ad hoc. Maybe next year ... |

| Dec-25-10 |    | hms123: <Dom> This is what our traditional xmas dinner dish looks like: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl... My wife saw one of these on the cover of a cookbook over 40 years ago and decided that she wanted one. We cook up shrimp, scallops, sliced beef, sliced fish, sliced pork, and other such goodies. Then after cooking in chicken broth (as you would a fondue), there is a wonderful soup that is about to become more wonderful when we add in Chinese mushrooms, noodles, spinach, and left-over sauces. It is quite civilized and leaves plenty of time for dinner conversation over the course of a few hours. You will have to join us some time. The battles over the food that escapes the cooking baskets are worth the price of admission (which for you will be 0^2 + 0^2). |

   |    | Domdaniel: <hms> Very nice. I'm not terribly skilled at meaty things, however. Murder, innit? |
	 |

| Dec-25-10 |    | hms123: <Dom> Maybe so, but it tastes awfully good. I suppose we could do a veggie version. The sauces make it worthwhile--lots of ginger, hoisin, fish sauce, garlic, and the like (not all at once) in the various sauces. |
	 |

Dec-25-10
   |    | Domdaniel: Ahh, sauce makes anything worthwhile. Is fish sauce made of creamy crushed'n'blended Rybkas? |
	 |

| Dec-25-10 |    | hms123: <Dom> Afraid not--more like anchovies. Off for a while. |

   |    | Annie K.: <Is fish sauce made of creamy crushed'n'blended Rybkas?> Heheh.
<Dom> you're vegan? Or just "partly"? ;) Off for a short while too, gotta go feed the cats outside... |
	 |

Dec-25-10
   |    | Domdaniel: <Annie> Not remotely vegan. Not sure if I qualify as 'partly', as there's no method to't. I eat meat but I don't much like the taste of it, which sort of rules out those ichor-dripping steaks etc. But add a sufficiently piquant sauce and I'm anybody's. |
	 |

Dec-25-10
   |    | Annie K.: Innaresting. :) I don't like cooked meat - it tastes "boring". ;s The only way I like chicken is as "schnitzel", which is, in case anybody doesn't know, ;) cutlet of poultry breast, fried, with a coating of egg mixed with flour and bread crumbs. I do like steaks - beef, pork, or anything - but not very often. I eat cold meats more often, ham, salamis, pastrami, liver spread... that sort of thing. |

Dec-26-10
   |    | Domdaniel: <mack> -- <Full Ruling (Enquiry Node: Christmas Hols) of the Taghairm Waste Association Table> 1. Not playing 'taghairm' when available is acceptable under the following conditions: 1.0. If 'tag' or 'hair' were already on the board, so that playing 'taghairm' did not garner a 7-letter bonus. 1.1. Especially if you could play a 7-letter word elsewhere instead. 1.2. Or if the alternative word was 'tagmemes'.
2.0. At so-called 'family scrabble' with multiple players, there are so few chances anyway. Real scrabble is of course a rabidly competitive 2-person game which makes chess look benign, and whose top adherents memorize entire dictionaries. 3.0. If a suitable act of divination - under a waterfall with a bullock's hide, etc - informed you that a chance to play *that* word would come again, some fine day. So, er, basically, that's it. You get off with a mild warning. Unless, of course, you *won*. Doing (or not doing) things in order to *win* is totally beyond the pale and could result in a life ban from the Order of the Frozen Waterfall. Hoots. |
