Jun-05-07  Benzol: Anybody seen the film "Wendigo"? Is it any good? I read the Algernon Blackwood story 'The Wendigo' many years ago but can't remember much about the details but it was something to do with Canadian Native Indian folklore.

I play <9.Ng3>!

Yes, I don't figger I'll castle anytime soon. Girls like to keep the boys guessing, especially before they shift everty freekin piece they have in order to storm the <kingside>.

Hope yer castle's got some high walls.

I don't like you chances here.

jessicafischerqueen: <Benzol> the <Blackwood> story is far superior to the film.

I watch any horror film and like it, but I couldn't recommend this film.

In <Cree lore>, the <Wendigo> races over the tops of trees with feet made of fire. He kills anyone who threatens the forest. Similar to <Normand-celtic> monster imported by <Quebeckers>, most of whom are descended from <Hugenots- Protestants> from <Breton> in <France>: they believe the <bonnehomme> also protects the forest, but he kills people by biting their nuts off (not a joke- actually part of the myth)

Great work on GMYS!! I popped in recently and you guys are killing him.

Why doesn't he resign?

jessicafischerqueen: <Bill> Good to see you back!

I'll be teaching <ESL> to either <Koreans or Japonais> chez elles, but I got a buncha stuff to arrange first.

Like a job, visa, shots etc.

BTW, i can't put my real pic over the Netwires ever again, but after extensive consultation with me, <Wilson> found a picture that's almost a <dead ringer> for me, even the way I dress, which he put up in his <hot broad> section of his profile.

Maybe you should submit your <Halloween outfit> pic to him!!

See, we can joke about this now.

Ack.

Best, CC

I have made my moves, see the updated FENS

<Durango, Squares>, I'm working tonight on my moves in our games, should have them both by tomorrow.

I'm "back in the chess zone" apparently after stinking the joint out the last ten days or so.

I hope so anyhoo.

Thanks Jess, I'll remember to be respectful to forests should I ever be in France again. The mere thought of that brought tears to my eyes.

jessicafischerqueen: Hi <Open Defence> thanks for dropping by!

And thanks for the help finding the live link to the <playoff game> too.

It was pretty exciting, though I could only watch the first one.

Jun-06-07  Dr.Lecter: 6000 posts already! My gosh, how in the world do you think of all the subjects you have can comment on?
Jun-06-07  Eyal: <Open Defence: 6000 in one year?? wow! Emperor is toast.....> Speaking of personal posts count, that should be <acirce> (currently on 17,192)... but the Emperor's forum (566 pages) is probably also in danger in the long run.

  jessicafischerqueen: <Doctor> it's easy!

Just don't care, ever, if you are actually correct about anything.

Just blab about the first thing that comes into your head, and then never shut up.

You'll be a hit at parties!

Or, someone will hit you at a party!

Either way, it's fun.

heh

I read some pithy posts from <acirce> today in one of the CAndidate match pages but can't remember which one.
