 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Wilson> <Do the Right Thing> is one of the best film's I've ever seen. <John Torturro> is brilliant in particular. It will blow you away. It's good we're already arguing, if we end up making a <film review forum>. Soon you will be free from school!! |

| Jun-12-07 | | Eyal: Hey Jess - what does a guy have to do to get a "g'day" outta you?? G'day... I see you're in a honking mood! Did you get the music files I've sent you, btw? |

 | | WannaBe: <jessicafischerqueen> Busy, busy... Came back from Chicago Open, then left again for Nation Open (picture link in my profile). Got a pile of books lined up to read (I estimated the total number of pages to exceed 3000, a total of 9 books I want to read.) So, that'd take a while to work through, and trying to buy a little bar & grill with my business partner... Life's keeping me busy and off the streets, so I don't scare little ol' ladies. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <MannBee> Holy Crap you played in <Chicago Open>!!! How did you do? Will you post the game you played the best in here so I can go over it on my board, then publish it under my own name? Heh. No, really, please post it. I need to know. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <MannBee> These would be <chessbooks> or <bar and girl> books? Are you really going to open a <bar and girl>? What an amazing idea, and good luck with it. I have to say I like how you never brag.
I just left a bitchy post against <Kamikaze> on the <Aronian-Shirov> page, his "offhand arrogance and boasting" just set me off. I can't stand people, particularly chessplayers, who "toot their own horn." Except <Fischer>, of course. He comes over for tea now and again. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Eyal> g'day, g'day! I just assumed you were busy with your paper and the merciless sweep. I did check your forum this morning, but no activity. Yes, I just finished reading a chess book and by the end of it, the <arrogance> of the authors <IMs talking as if they are experts in every field there is> soured me on the whole thing. Then I see <Kamikaze's> offhand braggardliness and I "went off", as I'm "wont" to do. Yes, I got the music, thanks so much!
Very beautiful and haunting as well.
Guess I'll send you the other great <Cat Power> song I like. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Ooh <Eyal> don't forget to email me your paper. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: I'm fresh out of <mortal enemies>, so I'm hoping <Kamikaze> can fill the hole. Plato, where art thou? You owe me a good grovel, buster! |

 | | WannaBe: <jessicafischerqueen> I finished with 3.5/7 in Chicago, and won only 1 game out of 5 in Las Vegas (National Open) but that one win got me the Upset Prize. Book that I am currently reading: Blaze, Richard Bachman/Stephen King. Books on the pile waiting:
Stalin's Ghost, by Martin Cruz Smith
Einstein, by Walter Isaacson
Almost a Miracle: The American Victory in the War of Independence by John Ferling The Summer of 1787: The Men Who Invented the Constitution by David O. Stewart Troublesome Young Men: The Rebels Who Brought Churchill to Power and Helped Save England by Lynne Olson Passion and Principle: John and Jessie Fremont, the Couple Whose Power, Politics, and Love Shaped Nineteenth-Century Americ by Sally Denton Without Mercy, by Jack Higgins
The Dictators: Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Russia by Richard Overy Three Days with Bobby Fischer, by GM Lev Alburt
Building Up Your Chess, by GM Lev Alburt
The 2 books by Alburt, I won them as part of the Upset Prize. Pretty light reading list... |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <MannBee> I see you have a keen interest in <history and political science>. Same here. Have you tried <Stalin: The Humorous Years>? It's brilliant. I think <User: Kamikaze> wrote it, the big blowhard. I just came back from the <liberry> yesterday looking for <Borges>, but no luck. so, predictably, I came home with a book about <Chess defence> and a video about <Bigfoot>. |
|
| Jun-12-07 | | Eyal: <Jess> Sure - I'm going to be tinkering with it till the last moment, probably, so I'll send it to you after my return (also, of course, so that you won't rush out with it while mine is still at the chemist's). Yeah, I'm pretty busy (my flight is tomorrow afternoon), but since I'm in front of the computer most of the time I'm checking to see what's going on here from time to time... |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <MannBee> thanks so much! Are you really <Jimmy Yu>, or did you change the name to protect the innocent? My real legal name is <NN>, by the way. I will play out your triumph over my board. Just eying the notation, looks like some kind of <Sicilian>. Heh. I finally learned where <c5> is on the chessboard. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <MannBee> your <offical card> is cool! You are living a dream life, going to all those tournaments. But isn't it risky for a <superhero> to reveal his <secret identity>? |
|
| Jun-12-07 | | whiteshark: <<Eyal> <I see - so by the end of this week he'll probably enter your list of favorite kibitzers>> It's the same old story every time...

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Sea going Scourge of God> No, no, you're probably thinking of the <Jesscinzcy Bind>. That's where you put your pawns on <c5, d6 and e5>. I invented it!! Because I'm a <top level> chess player like <Kamikaze>, the big Honking Idiot. Heh. Bombs awaaaaay!! |
