jessicafischerqueen: Uh Oh. <Whiteshark> appears to have blown a gasket.

Score!! It's the first <Ignore me> that I'm aware of!!

I finally have a new <mortal enemy>. Plus, he can't see my posts but I can see his.

So I'll have to insult him <by proxy> or with one of my many sockpuppets. One of which could be <whiteshark> himself, for all I know.

Heh.

jessicafischerqueen: <Tactic> yes, I noticed the same thing, but I was going to keep quiet about it for obvious reasons.

You were talking almost as if you were lost, or in a downward spiral, when in fact I think the position is dynamic and close to equal. I doubt there will be a draw here, one of us is bound to make a mistake in such a tactical minefield as we have.

The game has become unclear, and flexible plans AND long term structural considerations must be conidered after every new move now.

Chess is war.

Jun-16-07  WBP: <Jess> Good games, good games. But has <Elixer> fled the coup?

I'm really thinking of entering a tournament soon. There's one next week in Albuquerque (a wee 60 mile drive), but I'm otherwise engaged. There's a one-day affair here in Santa Fe in August. As a rule, I don't like short time controls, but I'm weighing that one. I really need to brush up on oppenings/opening theory. I saw somehwere on the Enrique mecking page that he developed his game by simply throwing pieces on the board with little rhyme or reason and then working out combos based on their positions. I like that!

Best, Bill

jessicafischerqueen: <Tactic> <23.Nxe4>, no surprise there since I already told you that was my purpose in playing the pawn break at this point.

(maybe I should stop telling you my plans during the game???) Heh.

Well, Mr. Knight is now centralized and it looks like there are many juicy squares for him to occupy.

Also, moving your rook might be in order.

Let the counterplay and chaos begin!!

jessicafischerqueen: <Bill> so good to see you!! Almost the whole <Outfit> is off working, and I have a new <mortal enemy>!! <Whiteshark> has put me on ignore for some reason!!

I urge you to play in a tournament. I'm gonna finally join the chess club nearest my place (75 kilometers away) on Monday night. I think some OTB is long overdue.

Your last email was great!! I'm going to reply point by point, and btw the longer the email the better I like it.

Jun-16-07  Tactic101: Where does this rank as your most exciting games ever? I'll make my move very shortly (just want to check that I'm right). Obviously, I'm moving my rook somewhere.

jessicafischerqueen: <Ragh> can't wait!! Curiously, you will be my first <evenly matched> opponent in terms of ratings.

So far all my opponents have been a couple of hundred points higher or lower, sometimes even a greater difference than that.

We should have a grand game!!

Plus, if <Elixir> and <Squares> remain silent for a another few days, We could start early. One time me and <Niels> played a game that took 6 months to finish for various reasons.

So it's likely we can start sooner than later.

In terms of actual activity, I'm really only playing one game at the moment.

Jun-16-07  WBP: <Jess> <I urge you to play in a tournament. I'm gonna finally join the chess club nearest my place (75 kilometers away) on Monday night. I think some OTB is long overdue> Congratulations! We have a club here, sometimes visited by our resident GM Jesse Kraai. I've gone several times--it meets at a local Borders. I may go more often, now that the summer's here.

Yeah. I tell you, the photos and descriptions in <Manbee's> place of Chicago and Vegas have me positively salivating. Nothing like the feel of the pieces, the clock, keeping the score, watching the action on nearby boards, and so on (lots of extra-curricular activites! But I was young and stupid).

Not sure what's up with the great White. maybe things will work out, though I know you love to fight! (You might want to rein that in at a live chess club!)

jessicafischerqueen: <Tactic> This is an incredibly exciting game. Exactly the kind I like the best- open, tactical minefield, 800 things to keep track of, and a mistake at this point from either of us could lose on the spot.

Fantastic!! I'm already looking at Black moves.

right now on my new <baba board> I'm looking real hard at <23...Rf5>... for obvious reasons.

jessicafischerqueen: <Bill> you kidding? Fist fights at Chess Clubs break the monotony!
Jun-16-07  Tactic101: Rf5 was a move I was thinking about, but I quickly rejected it since Rf5? results in RxR!, BxR and Nd6 and the black will lose the exchange at least.

My move will be Rd5

jessicafischerqueen: Interestng!! I just got back from <baba board> again, and was looking at lines where you don't move your rook out of the way of my knight.

Some of those lines look very playable for black,at least to me, but obviously this analysis is no longer relevant.

Thanks to <baba>, however, I'll be able to discuss lines where you don't move the rook after we are finished.

What excitement!!

Anyone who says Correspondence is boring is crazy.

jessicafischerqueen: <tactic> one more thing-- because we are moving so quickly and talking all the time, I have the eerie feeling we are playing OTB.

Feels good.

Jun-16-07  chessmoron: <Jess> Just send you an e-mail. And after you reading it, don't look at me as a weirdo.

jessicafischerqueen: <Tactic> just eyeing your last move, about to go back to <baba>. Tension building again.

I'm sensing a MASSIVE exchange spree at any moment.

Which of us will blink first?

The excitement is almost too much, I just peed my pants.

That's how you can tell it's a good game.

  jessicafischerqueen: <Tactic, Bill, Wilson>

Have to tear myself away from the <baba board> and go play with my nieces now.

Will reply to all three of you later tonight.

Chessica.

Jun-16-07  Tactic101: I think I can regain my pawn.
Jun-16-07  Ragh: <I finally have a new <mortal enemy>>. Hey, Congrats on your finding a new mortal enemy. time to visit the holy forum of Ziggurat yet maybe.. There's no hurry in starting the game early, take your own time in finishing the ones currently under play.
Jun-16-07  Ragh: <Anyone who says Correspondence is boring is crazy> Remember, an old mortal enemy of yours said that correspondence is for snails. :)
Jun-17-07  hitman84: <Anyone who says Correspondence is boring is crazy>No just lazy.

jessicafischerqueen: <Tactic> Hmmm. Well you can have two pawns back and a buncha other pieces too. Course, you also lose material.

I believe this move forces a GIANT EXCHANGE. I think I have a better endgame after a lotta pieces come off the board, but I'm guessing, since you have this habit of not moving where I want you to move.

Heh.

I play <26.Bc4>

I believe this move pokes a hole in our balloon. Time to break the tension, it's unbearable!!

Now it's really crazy time.

jessicafischerqueen: <Rah! Rah!> Heh. I think <elixir> might have taken some time off here.

<squares> only signs in about once a week, and I believe <samikd> and I have such an unclear position that we are like deer staring into a headlight right now.

So we could start a game as soon as tomorrow, since only one of four is active and we are both signed in every day at this time, anyway.

You pick which color you want, OK?

Just tell me, then move, or I'll move, and put up a FEN.

Oh heck let's just start today. I'm not going to be working until September, so the more chess the better, I say!!

LET'S GO!!! HEY HO!!

Jun-17-07  Open Defence: <the Queen> any reasons why Canada refuses to become a republic and join the free world ??
