jessicafischerqueen: <Eyal> good grief you are so over-Chivalrous. Just got back from <Goldfinger> page and saw you deleted your post.

You found it in the first place!

I think you are so Chivalrous that you might own a horse? Or at the least, the Knight is your favorite piece?

Jun-20-07  Eyal: Funny thing, actually - when I just learned to play chess I liked the knights so much that it hurt my game - because I refused to exchange them under almost any circumstances...

But the deletion of my post was more out of dislike of redundancy than "chivalry", I think.

jessicafischerqueen: Hmmm. Maybe I should play some chess or something now, if only to avoid getting in trouble.
Jun-20-07  Ragh: That would be a good idea.
Jun-20-07  mack: <Funny thing, actually - when I just learned to play chess I liked the knights so much that it hurt my game - because I refused to exchange them under almost any circumstances...>

I've said this before and one day I'll write a book about it - knights make chess beautiful. The knight is what allows chess to even be considered an art form. Without knights, chess would be a terribly linear mess. And nobody can really describe properly how they move. My favourite has to be David Brine Pritchard in his Right Way to Play Chess:

<The knight, a problem child, moves (according to decree),

To the diametric corner of a figure two by three.>

Well done, Pritchard!

  jessicafischerqueen: Quelle Coincidence!!

I just sacced my Knight against a <Center Counter Gambit defence> and won with superior development and piece coordination!! I tore him to pieces. He was a high rated player but moved waaaay too fast.

Heh. He buggered off without so much as a "gg" either.

AWHOOOOOOOGA I love saccing pieces!!!

Jun-20-07  Eyal: <jessicafischerqueen: <Mack> CG.com just wiped every post outta <Goldsby page>.>

As Bill said, it's very likely those posts were deleted by the hideous man himself, since CG.com's new policy is to give players control over their game pages as if they were their forums. It also means, btw, that if he puts you on ignore you won't be able to post there anymore.

chancho: <Jess> Here's an old post of hayton's from back in the day.

<hayton3: It amuses me how some minor master and his fritz vainly bash at the wall of Caissa, hoping to conclusively prove that one move decides the win 40 moves later. He would do better to perform other more conclusive endeavours such as surviving a marathon swim across the everglades with fresh meat strapped to his body, the success of which would blow David Blaine right of the water and trully and rightfully earn Mr Goldsby his LIFE Master title.>
