jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

Jun-24-07  Tactic101: I'm not so sure......... No immediate threats, but you might "accidently" create them for me! I did so for you.

jessicafischerqueen: <Tactic> yes, you are of course correct. Actually, truth be told, the position is looking a little drawish already to me.

I got a little excited there, you had to defend accurately and you did.

The only real danger was you missing the potential disaster on your c-file.

But now that you have avoided that, yes, looking equal.

I can still force a few moves, however. And my bishop "not so bad" when it was ATROCIOUS before. I think you wanted to leave him locked up, IMO.

Jun-24-07  Tactic101: Well, I would be honoured to draw with you (ah, if only it was so easy!). I think your next move will be something like Rc8, right?
Jun-24-07  chessmoron: <Tactic101> vs <Jess> Please draw so I can catch up to her in the pages.

<Tactic101> 1 hour and 30 minutes from a 2 Puzzles finale for my contest. Excited? Better be...or else.

jessicafischerqueen: <Tactic> well, I doubt you'd fall for anything "tricky" Like <Qe8>.

My hat's off to you for seeing the danger to your c-file. You defended with great precision there, if you hadn't, you would have lost on the spot. That's why I got so excited!!!

<Rc8> looks drawish to me. I may play it, but this could be a deadlocked position now.

Curse you <Tactic>!!!

I'm gonna look for something better.

Jun-24-07  Tactic101: Sounds cool. I'll be there, but I'm wondering: can't you let MAJ and I tie for first place if I get them both right? Seems that would be fair. He started later and has gotten full marks on every puzzle. If I win, it's because I started earlier. Think it would be okay?

I'm not sure I can easily draw with Jess. She won't let me and I simply have to try to win. But I'll pay a visit to your forum. Maybe do a little bit of spamming with some games.

  jessicafischerqueen: HEY! <Tactic> that's treason!!

This means War! Now I have FOUR mortal enemies.

Jun-24-07  Tactic101: Hey! Anything I do would be maybe only 4-5 posts! Not the 4-5 pages that you guys do!

What do I have to do to get off your "mortal enemies" list? Start spamming your own forum to give you more pages to cross the emperor?

Jun-25-07  MostlyAverageJoe: <Tactic101> and <Jess> You need to restart your rematch from the postion after 11 moves: 1.d4 f5 2.Nf3 e6 3.c3 Nf6 4.Bg5 Be7 5.Nbd2 Ne4 6.Bxe7 Qxe7 7.Qc2 d5 8.e3 o-o 9.Bd3 c5 10.Ne5 Nc3 11.Ndf3 Bd7.

This is the position:

and the next move, 12.o-o-o, is illegal (castling through d1, under attack by the black ♘.

See <http://www.fide.com/official/handbo... , article 7.4.

Jun-25-07  MostlyAverageJoe: Oh, I see, the game record must be wrong. 10...Nxd2, not 10...Nxc3, right?
Jun-25-07  MostlyAverageJoe: Nope, could not be, or 11.Ndf3 makes no sense.

OK, you figure it out ...

Jun-25-07  MostlyAverageJoe: Got it. 10... Nc6. OK, carry on, never mind my interjection.

<OK, carry on, never mind my interjection.>

Hardly an interjection!! A valuable correction, rather, which I have made. Very sorry to have put you through all that trouble just because I can't record a game score properly for Cripe sake.

Proufound apologies and thank you so much!!

Tomlinsky: No. It's not a flag, it is a picture of one.

Heh. POINT: <Tomlinsky>, on the grounds of a more precise understanding of representation, semiotics, and nitpickyness

Good night!!

do you surrender already? I'll take a resignation if you like.

Jun-25-07  Ragh: <jen!!> just because I was not here over the weekend doesn't mean I surrender. My second is currently busy playing in Dortmund. He is an expert in Petroff.

Did you like the new Features??

Jun-25-07  Ragh: Yes, of course. So, you are Jessica Fischer, daughter of Bobby Fischer. With people calling you jess, I didn't notice enough to realize that that was your surname embedded in your short userID.
Jun-25-07  chessmoron: I'm her illegitimate son.
Jun-25-07  Ragh: when did she adopt you?
Jun-25-07  chessmoron: 2 days ago.
