jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

Aug-22-07  Open Defence: <At the time United States government ban all Vietnam pics so the producers of M*A*S*H set their backdrop to Korean War to appease the government.> yeah but do the Koreans know this ?
Aug-22-07  chessmoron: Of course they know it. It's all US political propaganda.
Aug-22-07  Karpova: <jessicafischerqueen: Hi <Mack> well I tried to explain but my explanation was censored.

OK try again.

<Ed Trice> is copy and pasting any message he doesn't like and emailing it to the site administrators.

(the preceding text there was composed by <Ed>, not me, so I do not expect it to be zapped)

Apparently he has a lot of pull around here because I estimate he's batting 1000.

If this post gets censored I'll seriously consider spending my next 20 dollars at a different chess site.

Perhaps POGO.>

That sounds interesting. You better don't try to mess around with the big guys (e.g. <WMD> with <ray keene> or <hayton3> with <LMAJ>) or you'll suffer.

Domdaniel: <Wannabe> Hey, Man-Bee ... if you don't like puns, how come you hang out with us punsters so much?

You one of them Masochist Wabbits or sump'n?

Aug-22-07  Boomie: <Like <Boomie>'s pun, "Manchurian Candy Date," for example. If you could see it as a picture of a man's mind, you would then describe it as . . . well, as . . . as offal, just offal.>

Good thing you guys missed the "Seoul mate" pun. That would have put you over the edge.

Domdaniel: <Jessica Sun Moon> Bon voyage, ma Reine. Go get that passport. And have fun in Korea as well...
Aug-22-07  WBP: And when <Jess> gets back, she'll be a "Seoul survivor."
Aug-22-07  chessmoron: Jess is one luck SOB. 5 year plan to anywhere to Asia (Korea first) and 5 year plan to Europe.

Don't go to Budapest, Hungary when your 10 year plan is finished. Come to America, land of free opportunity!

Aug-22-07  laskereshevsky: <jessicafischerqueen:> <Well I have two 'five year' plans..... After that, I expect to retire and play chess the rest of my life. maybe in Budapest. My friend works there.
He says everyone speaks English and plays chess, even the pets and farm animals....Sounds good to me!!>
....

SO good luck BABY... About Budapest, its enough true that U can play chess easy here....but about the english language...FORGET IT!!

Its one of the less english speaking nation in the whole eastern-europe. In the turistic pubs restaurant etc, a lot of people are "chewing" english....But beside that places...THE DARK RULES!..

In other hands, Budapest is a beautiful city...a little too much dirty, in same district (KERÜLET), but full of life, (about 1,5 milion residents, and another 500-600thousand in the interland are living "around "the capital...) a lot of entertainmemt, festivals etc....

I know because since 1 and half year ago, im resident here...

if U need "realistic" news about here, feel free to ask.

Did you get your <Lab Dog> fixed yet?

Aug-22-07  WBP: <Jess> Sorry about the bad band/song thing (is that a band? Didn't know).

Anyhoo, I hope you like <Seoul food>. (That one's so obvious--bet someone else already posted it, and I just missed seeing it.)

Have a great trip and a wonderful time.

Aug-22-07  achieve: It's running like clockwork again!

<Jess> Maybe give him my gmail address, as I do not like this situation -- I know it's just the Internet etc. but this is so silly..

Btw <Laskeres> is a wicked good player.. He posted a few diagrams at the Cafe and I was very impressed!

I won't send you an email before the trip, as I believe you have had enough brotherly and fatherly advice already. Looking forward already to your reports when you are in Daegu, Korea!

I'm on DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION and have to watch my Ps and Qs now!

I'm sure everything will blow over in time, it usually does.

Trees do, even.
