  jessicafischerqueen: Hi <MannBee>!

Heh I shut down last Sunday when I went to see the Soccer at <World Cup Stadium> in Daegu!!

You never saw so many drunk howling Koreans in your life.

Except for the dread "Holiday Karaoke Bus"...

heh

<But if people are using computers to waste time on social networking sites or trolling the Internet and "basically finding an excuse not to socialize, then we believe things are not going well," he said.>

Waste time?

Watching studying playing gabbing about Chess is hardly a "waste of time..."

If you are obsessed with it, that is.

I'd kill a thousand innocent people just to win a pawn against a stronger player!!

How is the Bar and Kill going?

(Hire Hooters girls-- just test it out man, I guarantee it will work)

jessicafischerqueen: Well it's <30 degrees celsius> in my room here already-- and that's not counting the "Humidex" factor either.

Luckily, you'll be pleased to know I just turned on my <Super Turbo Samsung Air Conditioner> and within minutes it will be as cold as Antarctica in here.

I'd kill the whole planet just to cool off a bit...

Just saying.

Best 380,000 Won I ever spent.

(That's not much money btw== I got the Air Con on sale= regular price was 700.000 Won.

1000 Won is approximately 1 Canadian/American Dollar.

  jessicafischerqueen: Heh OK <Scotch game>

Today:

My entire Middle Game strategy was to loosen the dark squares around the Black King after I exchanged off his DSB.

I was willing to allow him a big passed pawn, to let his Queen invade my back rank, and to let him harvest more of my pawns so long as I was able to increase my pressure on his Kingside dark squares until I reach this position:

click for larger view

It's BLACK TO MOVE but he's got absolutely no defence now-- He has been distracted by chasing my King around and raiding my back rank and gobbling pawns and now HE WILL PAY

OH yes he will pay.

He tries <Bd5>? But it doesn't matter cuz there is NO DEFENCE for Black here.

Heh.

After <Bd5> I get to play <Bb6>! and win his Queen and the game due to the tactic of

<DISCOVERED MATE THREAT>

Heh

WHAHASKD

AROOOOOoooooo

May-03-08  achieve: heh - BRILLIANT!!

Rook to b6 - Queen check and Mate threat! Queen can't intercept!

Ergo propter hoc in casu ad finitum:

<1-0>

SHABAAM!!

jessicafischerqueen: Heh notice also the theme of the <BLOCKADE> at work here.

One of my Rooks Blockades his passer and the other Rook Blockades his f-pawn-- So he has no way to defend the dark squares around his King.

Due to the availability of <OPEN FILES>, I could let him run his Queen around in my backyard until he ran out of checks or things to do--

Because of the <OPEN FILES>, it means that once his Queen runs out of things to do I can move my <f-Rook> WITH TEMPO and he has absolutely no way to stop me.

Heh he actually typed "I got you now" after he started giving checks to my King with his invading Queen.

NO WAY BUDDY

jessicafischerqueen: Thanks <Doctor>!! What a wonderful feeling I worked very hard for hours on this game.

Thanks to you and <notyetagm>, I never feel like I'm playing "alone."

I actually hear things you've told me, and I actually see things like <BLOCKADE> in my head while I'm playing.

What would Jesus do?

Who cares!

What would Shredder do?

Who cares!

What would <Doctor Euwe> or <notyetagm> do?

Now THERE'S something worth pondering while playing chess.

I'm over the moon here <Doctor>!!

May-03-08  metatron2: yes nice one: the black queen seems to have no square to hide from the discovered threat by white's Rf6. There is also no way to block Bd4 or threat Qh6, or white's king, so black simply looses his quenn..

jessicafischerqueen: thanks <metatron2> this was a very exciting game to play.
May-03-08  achieve: Understandibly!!

That FEN position is truly a thing of beauty...

Your Royalness is sitting there at G3 is absolutely UNTOUCHABLE...

Completely dominant position in every aspect, reminiscent of some of the Fischer games I studied thus far...

I hope he had someone to wipe his bloody tears after the awful "I got you now" message.

But you got him good!

May-03-08  achieve: <DISCOVERED MATE THREAT>

Rf2 also fits that bill... Eg after ...Qd2 Rf2:

click for larger view

And black is completely BUSTED.

May-03-08  achieve: Oops - but after ...Bd5 (from your FEN) of course <Rb6> is "the" move, as Rf2 would allow the Queen to b8 with check...

You saw that too, eh?

You were in good shape in that game, I must say.

May-03-08  achieve: ...there indeed is no escape for the black Queen, as 1...Qc1 ALSO runs in to 2. Rf1 -- with the same fate...

  jessicafischerqueen: Heh that's right <Doctor>.

I thought <Bd5> was very curious, so I took my time before the kill shot.

Why did he play it?

The best try for Black that I could see was <Qb3> since that gets a Rook and a second passed pawn for the Queen.

So I figured he saw he couldn't save his Queen, and he was making a "hopeful" move--

Hoping I would check his Queen on the wrong file so he could escape with Tempo and then my beautiful position turns to Poo, since he can then move his <f-pawn> to defend.

WHADKJ

I'm liking <Gashimov> more and more-- he played unusually and sharply last night, I think he is trying his hardest to win.

Also, He saved what many regarded to be a losing endgame.

I can't wait for tonight's edition of <Vulgar Gash in the FAce>.

Also, I bet you 1,000000 dollars that <Griscuk> draws tonight.

May-03-08  achieve: I could use the doe - however I think I do not even know who the opponent of Grischuk is in today's round...

But it seems likely.

<Hoping I would check his Queen on the wrong file so he could escape with Tempo and then my beautiful position turns to Poo> heh -- well ...Qb3 is easily refuted by my engine, since you have the time to play the killer <Bc5> - and after b2 Bxe7 b1=Q there is a mate --- hehe

Just a six ply count we could also do very easily if not in ZEITNOT or similar "poo"... HAHAA - I like the word poo for some reason.

May-03-08  malthrope: <achieve: I could use the doe - however I think I do not even know who the opponent of Grischuk is in today's round...>

  jessicafischerqueen: Hi <Mal>!

<Rising Gasholine Prices> has just played <h5>, and now his Knight is safe from being kicked for the moment.

May-03-08  malthrope: Hi Jess! Yes I see... It's a very interesting game. It appears now that Gashimov has gained control of a dangerous initiative... The next few moves (from move #34 up to TC) shall decide it I think. As <Never Wins> needs to play perfect defensive moves to have a chance. Very difficult to do. :)
