 | | jessicafischerqueen: Good grief I posted a <COUNTERFEIT> version with <Phil Collins> "singing." Here is the <ONE TRUE PETER GABRIEL> singing the song he wrote. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoDk...
Heh the Band broke up because <Gabriel> took all the tapes and remixed them by himself without telling the band so they kicked him out. HAHAHAHAAHAH
<Peter Gabriel> = the "real deal" <Genesis> withoug him = "not so good" <Phil Collins> after <A Trick of the Tail> = absolute crap |
|
| May-21-08 | | Open Defence: <<Genesis> withoug him = "not so good"> hmmm actually I liked them on Duke, and also stuff like Mama, Home by the Sea etc, guess there is no accounting for taste |
|
May-21-08
 | | jessicafischerqueen: But there is <taste in accounting> if it's done by <HMS Defiance>. HEY! You never had enough time to listen to both clips to compare!! "Got to get in, to get ouuuuuuuuuuuuut" |
|
| May-21-08 | | Open Defence: aah well definitely Collins should leave the Gabriel songs alone, but I like Genesis with Collins I see them as different bands rather than the same band, my favourite combination though were the Steve Hackett years |
|
May-21-08
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <the Steve Hackett years> JINX
Better not tell Hubby too much about <Steve Hackett>... |
|

What dod you think of the Scotch?

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <GM Timofeev>
I'm from <Mongolia> for Cripe sake!! Not to be confused with the fine film <Magnolia>... In which <Tom Cruise> says "I swear to God of one of those dogs comes near me I'm going to drop kick it." Heh.
I still frequently laugh when I think of that scene. |

| May-22-08 | | Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: <GM Timofeev> I'm from <Mongolia> for Cripe sake!!> Which reminds me. Another nomination for Coolie man of all times: Ghengis Khan. He was good with a bow and keeping his hordes in line. Or Seti I who was good with a mace and keeping his Horus in line. I can't decide. |
|
| May-22-08 | | Boomie: My nomination for Greatest Blunders in History.
At this time the Khwarezmian Dynasty was governed by Shah Ala ad-Din Muhammad. Genghis Khan saw the potential advantage in Khwarezmia as a commercial trading partner, and, instead of sending an invasion force, he initially sent a 500-man caravan to establish trade ties with the empire. However, Inalchuq, the governor of the Khwarezmian city of Otrar, attacked the caravan that came from Mongolia, claiming that the caravan was a conspiracy against Khwarezmia. The situation became more complicated as the governor later refused to make repayments for the looting of the caravan and murder of its members. Genghis Khan then sent again a second group of ambassadors to meet the Shah himself. The Shah had all the men shaved and all but one beheaded. This was seen as an affront and insult to Genghis Khan. Outraged, Genghis Khan planned one of his largest invasion campaigns by organizing together around 200,000 soldiers (20 tumens), his most capable generals and some of his sons. Oops. They dissed the Khan. Bwa ha ha ha. |
