jessicafischerqueen: Problems about living on the 4th floor--

I'm currently enjoying the smells of my neighbor cooking.

He appears to be roasting a giant ass or something.

WHHOOO NELLY I hope they are not going to actually eat whatever the heck they are cooking....

On the positive sign, the Monsoon has arrived and the water is only up to the second story.

Silver lining!!

jessicafischerqueen: Heh- from my comeback game today on <Yahoo>....

I am White.

This is several moves after I sacced my LSB-- <Bxf7+?!> which was unsound but he made an inaccuracy and allowed me to reach this position

Black to play--

click for larger view

Heh- He has to defend very accurately here... His Queen has to defend his d-pawn, but even if he had played Qb6 White still has a roaring attack and a positive eval, according to my <Shrubby>...

But he plays his Queen to <g8> and WHAMMO lights out....

WHEEEEEEE

Heh

Whacka!!!

Jun-21-08  Eyal: <Jess> Yeah, Qb6 is the only good move for Black in the diagram position. Perhaps your opponent was focusing only on the threat of a knight check at e6, winning the queen...

Btw, can you give <Shrubby>'s main line after Qb6, where White is supposed to have an advantage? Fritz insists that White doesn't have enough compensation - its eval is in the 1.50 zone in favor of Black.

  jessicafischerqueen: hwh thqanks <Xrabba>.

I just re-checked it and aCT7Ally <Shrubby> gives BLACK just over a pawn advantqge.

I CAN'T EVEN READ THE EVALS PRO9PERLY

I don't mind though. Saccing a whole piece and even if Black still maintains the advantage it's not decisive-- especially given that the value of such a sac, in <human chess in one's ratings range>, is that when your king's running it's psychologically difficult to play precisely.

Humorously, my sac was not only unsound but unecessary. I played through a bunch of the lines my engine spit out just before I sacced.

I need to learn for when I play significantly stronger players than me. Interestingly, I AGAIN underevaluated my own position before I made the sac. I was thinking I was in hot water but my Engine showed me why I was not.

In time, I will learn to evaluate positions more objectively. I'm so emotional~~!~

Interestingly, White's main positional edge before I did the sac was the vulnerable Black d-pawn and White's better control over the center files. /black gave himself a backward d-pawn by chasing my Bishop around on the Queenside--

Live and learn!!!

heh

<Its gasoline hoe down time>

Daddy should have bought me an oil well
If he did I'd be a billionaire
A brand new Rolls now would'nt that just be swell
And I'd have the gasoline to spare

Daddy should have bought me an oil well
Alimony isn't quite enough
So go out there and get me my oil well
Can't get too much of that stuff

<all together now>

Who cares about the poor Kuwaitis?
Or the hungry children in Iraq?
As long as General Motors runs its factories
And the iceberg keeps on melting when its hot

was a merry old soul
and a merry old soul was he

and he called for his pipe
and he called for his bowl
and he called for his fiddlers three

and the clock

on the mantlepiece

and I touch
and I know
and I feel

and let me get to know your

play me my song
here it comes again

I've been wating here so long
and all this time has passed me by
it hardly seems to matter now

you stand there with your fixed expression

casting doubts on all I have to say

why don't you touch me?
touch me, touch me

now, now, now, now, now, now

NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW,,,
