Jul-14-08  YouRang: I see you have a nice new "young lady" avatar. :-)

You realize of course, that hundreds of years from now, future archeologists will rummage through the chessgames.com logs and be mystified about why a young lady avatar is going about saying "Hoot!".

Not that this is a problem. Future archeologists should have SOME mysteries.

Jul-15-08  achieve: "As I posted at my house, I think one can safely love Bobby's Love for the Game. And realize that Chess was truly the only language he could communicate in-- the only way he could connect with another human being.

IE- of course he brought a chess board to <Tal's> sickbed.

Can you imagine Bobby trying to make "small talk" with <Tal> WITHOUT the chess set?

And why did he love <Tal>? <Because <Tal> was a Chess God.>"

Jul-15-08  achieve: Isn't my memory astounding?

Personally, I'd see Bobby more as the Arch Angel.

At the moment.

jessicafischerqueen: Well <Tal> had a plus score against <Fischer> so the "stats" are on your side.

I love them both and my favorite chess game of all time is at the top of my Profile.

The most beautiful draw I have ever seen.

Check out the position there-- Bobby's next move-- <Nxf7>--

Does about 300 jobs at once.

At first glance it appears that Bobby has 22 pieces hopelessy <en prise>.

But with one Knight manoeuver---

1. He captures a pawn

2. It makes the knight and bishop not <en prise> anymore

3. It attacks Tal's Rook.

4. It guards the h-8 square against a Queen check

5. After the Knight moves again, there is a discovered attack on Tal's Knight.

Jul-16-08  achieve: <Well <Tal> had a plus score against <Fischer> so the "stats" are on your side.> Please do NOT bring in statistics - this is about FACTS.

heh

Yep - Nxf7 is a monster...

That's why I said they're both Chess Gods, at my house.

The quote from you I referred to was posted at Eyal's house BTW - beginning of April.

jessicafischerqueen: Yes I remember the post <Doctor Euwe Phant>.

We are continuing to make great strides in saving chess from the Robot-people as well!!

I will be working on my NEW FEATURE for a while.

There;s a lot of material to work with over there.

Remarkable Piece, still keeps surprising me... Remember that <canstein> endgame vid at YouTube?

A mazing...

jessicafischerqueen: Heh yes I do, as a matter of fact.

<Kingfcruffer> also had a <octopus vid>.

did you know he is playing in the <British Big Tournament> right now against Grandmasters?

I hope he beats some of them.

I think his Chess career is peaking right now. That said, when he played <Canstein> in our tournament he offered NO resistance. <Canstein> is very very strong.

Mrs. Watches a lot of instructional videos.

Jul-16-08  achieve: <I will be working on my NEW FEATURE for a while.> Great - I am involved with <hms> in some team dynamic analysis, so keep em coming.

I want to read it too!!

Do you think that you guys might consider copying and pasting your top secret emus on the subject and mailing them to me?

I'm VERY VERY INTERESTED in the subject matter.

But I'm not a "thinker", per se...

So I'm happy you guys are doing all the work.

I just want to read it and possibly publish it under my name.

heh - I actually brought up Fatso in one of my deleted posts - and I think the love for a pet animal like Fatso or Lars, are less complicated, more straightforward, non verbal (very important) and based on trust, and TOUCH.

All that stuff is indeed a source of Worrie with most "humans" - especially family...

Why??

Not sure yet...

Jul-16-08  achieve: how long
