jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

Aug-27-08  angslo: <slomarko:yeah and another great example was when CG deleted a series of 10 obscene insults that <angslo> directed at me.>

absolutely . i agree 100%

people should not have double standards
and insults, name -calling etc. should not be tolerated no matter who does that .

  jessicafischerqueen: <euripides>

thanks! I've done the same.

It's important that we keep monitoring this situation so that the next steps are taken.

He's had a 24 hour suspension and he's still oblivious.

Next step is the longer suspension.

The kindest thing anyone could do for <mckmac> is refuse to speak to him until he seeks the appropriate professional help.

This isn't a "psychiatric help" webpage.

It's a chess community.

And my forum is for chess analysis and other chesty activities.

Well <MannBee> keeps talking about hiring Hooters waitresses for his bar and grill but I don't think he's actually done it yet.

Ok then!

jessicafischerqueen: You'll all be pleased to know that

<Open Defence> is NOW FAMOUS and an important member of the <Official Games Page Database>.

Here is her thrilling victory over <acirce> (who is actually an ex- Head of the United Nations-- a fact I didn't know before):

Sangeeta Hosea

Aug-27-08  Open Defence: now to get my name in the drop down... then... THEN....

THE WORLD!!!!!!
MUAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

jessicafischerqueen: Hey! What is the "drop down" and why aren't you on it???

We better start our letter writing campaign today.

Did you know your last name is "heaven" in Catholicism?

I'm not sure what language they speak though, as I'm only a <Lex Lutheran>, like most Finns.

I believe Catholics speak Spanish, but don't quote me on that.

Hola!

Aug-27-08  Open Defence: <Did you know your last name is "heaven" in Catholicism?

> actually no I did not know that... Hosea was a Prophet in the old testament and my family is named after him, so interesting, I will have to research this...

regarding the drop down, this is the drop down list of players on the home page of chessgames.com, sadly the great master Leonid Stein is not on it

jessicafischerqueen: <Niels> EMU IN BOX ALERT!
Aug-27-08  arifattar: <OD>My first impression when I read your last name was that it must be some variation of Hosanna. Apparently it is not. But still not far off.

jessicafischerqueen: The <Book of Hosea> predicted <Kramnik> would beat <Topalov>, that <Open Defence> would become an IM, and that Canada would join the Excited States of America.

I saw it on a "The Real DaVinci Code" documentary!!

jessicafischerqueen: Hello <arifattar> thanks for dropping by!
Aug-27-08  Open Defence: <Jess> heh!

<arifattar> it might be derived from the same words, I am not sure, will research though as it is a rare family name :)

jessicafischerqueen: Yes <arifattar> has 9 letters.

I will subject his name to a <kabbala> search for significance.

Doubtless, there is some.

jessicafischerqueen: Er a little help here actually. I don't know about the <kabbala>!

(I was bluffing)

Aug-27-08  Open Defence: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosea

apparently it means Salvation is / of the Lord

jessicafischerqueen: Hey! You know you can't trust the Internet!

Especially <wiki>.

heh- remember the <chessbase> story about how a bunch of <Dutch civil servants> were spending all of their work hours making sure all the chess entries on <wikipedia> were accurate?

I find this a much healthier activity than the <Pentagon> re writing <Wiki> entries for propaganda.

Interestingly, <Wikkis> are witches and should probably be burned.

Although I'm not up on the "modern meaning" of the term.

<Salvation is/ of the Lord> sounds like an auspicious name to me.

According to <wiki>, "jessica" means <bee that gets under the horse's saddle and must be removed>.

who knew?

jessicafischerqueen: I hope you don't mind if I call you <Deffi Salvation is/Of the Lord> from now on.

It's been researched! By you, in fact!

Aug-27-08  Open Defence: I kinda liked Dom's <St Deffi the Wise> rhymes with <Steffi with cute eyes> (my Spaniel)
Aug-27-08  Open Defence: you might want to check out the games on eXodus chessforum

of course they are computer assisted, but as I will show in the post game analysis there is much in these games that the engines do not see :)

Aug-27-08  arifattar: I once pronounced my name to a teacher in my school and he heard it as <aryabhatta>. He incidentally was a Mathematics teacher.

While you are at it <Jessica>, have you tried the 6 on Kissinger?

Aug-27-08  Red October: heh! was this in Mumbai ?
Aug-27-08

jessicafischerqueen: NO, but I assume his name is the same as <the number of the Besst>?

Also <Reagan>, no?

Interestingly, the "Beast" is neither Satan nor the Antichrist.

He is one of many monsters at the end of days.

The Antichrist, the Beast, and the Whore of Babylon are all separate.

Mrs. Doesn't know any Numerology but has read the <Book of Revelations> an unhealthy number of times.

<Spaniel of Heaven> OK, I will check out the <Exodus by Leon Uris> website you linked there.

The movie with <Paul Newman> was quite good IMNSHO.

Aug-27-08  arifattar: Yes? .Uh......hmmmm..........were you around?.....were you the teacher?...uh.....hmmmm.....
Aug-27-08  Red October: hehehehehehe, no, was in Mumbai recently though....

Is it like <Mecca>?
