  jessicafischerqueen: G'day <Howard>!!

I see you and <The Woodman> have been busy all night proving that the <puzzle solution> may be WRONG1!

I think you should email all of that analysis to the administrators, demanding clearer winning continuation puzzles.

I'll back you up by pretending I've never heard of you guys before.

I think this plan is "workable."

You know I used to just bleep over all those lines until I realized I can just copy and paste them onto my Engine Interface.

Which I just figured out how to do a week ago.

Mrs. Dunderhead.

DOH!

<RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE>

nice one!!

Check out <my new banner>!!

I think this will be my permanent choice.

I hope you like it!

Oct-18-08  hms123: <jess> What are doing up at this hour? Or is it tomorrow morning already? Also, thanks for the GPS coordinates for <niels>--they worked.

Hasn't <Frogspawn> been taken already? If not, I suggest <Frogspawn Palace> as an alternative.

<woody> and I had a good time looking at an interesting position. There is much to be learned about the depths of chess. Even from a machine--as long as you sometimes click on <turn engine off> and use your brain instead. But then you knew that already, didn't you?

Oct-18-08  Mrs. Alekhine: Hello <hms123>

Yes, <Frogspawn> is "taken" already== by that impertinent shrew <jessicafischerqueen>.

Luckily, I have rectified matters with an alert change of my own Forum Banner.

<but then you knew that already, didn't you?>

No.

THANKS FOR TELLING ME NOW!!

After all these years....

Doh!

Oct-18-08  Mrs. Alekhine: Oh yes it's 9 AM here in Korea.

But I believe it's yesterday. Or tommorrow.

Isn't it the middle of the night there in Kasekstan?

Oct-18-08  hms123: <Mrs. A> It is 7:30 pm CDT here in the land of the not-quite-free and the home of the at-times-all-too-brave. At least I got to vote today--and it may even count for something as I don't live in either Florida or Ohio.

jessicafischerqueen: <hms 2001: A Democracy Odyssey> Bloody Good Show, Howard!!

Every vote for <Sarah Palindrome emordnilaP haraS> is a vote for a "clearer America," except for the air quality.

<Florida or Ohio> What are these mythical lands of which you speak?

PS- Exciting news from *KlangenFarben* which I believe you also received?

I await instructions, as I've no real mind of my own.

Oct-18-08  hms123: <jess> I haven't responded yet to <KFC> about the quality of his fried chicken, but will in the next day or so. You can be sure that I will copy you with secret instructions. Sprinkling lemon juice on the email should bring out the ture meaning--or possibly short out your computer. It is either one or the other--sometimes I forget things.

He may not like the answer, but I will be serious as long as I am not tight when I write. hey--that rhymed! Perhaps I am a poet and don't know it. Perhaps not.

Oct-18-08  hms123: <jess> two things that I have been meaning to mention. 1) I was at SFU about 10 years ago for an accreditation visit. I loved the architecture. I ate at the faculty club while hanging off a cliff by my fingernails--it made using a fork difficult.

2) I too learned chess from my dad (who won every game from the time I was 6 until I was about 12 and discovered that someone had written a book about chess openings). After that I started winning on a regular basis. Sadly, it wasn't as much fun as I thought.

Ok, will do Howard. I will follow any order, no matter how ridiculous (that line is also from Apocalypse Now, speaking of "tight"- heh).

OK I've ruined 1 cell phone and 2 computers in my life by spilling fluids on them.

jessicafischerqueen: <hms123: An Arthur Erickson Odyssey>

Yes, it's kind of Fabritecture all right. Actually a die hard <Frankfurter School> friend of mine remarked

"OK, Arthur Erickson and all, but this is actually an example of "brutalist architecture-- the kind favored in Nazi Germany."

I'm sorry to hear about the not as much fun as you thought.

Remember in <Searching for Bobby Fischer> movie?

Josh's mom tells him it's OK to "beat his Dad."

Heh- what if it were with a Tire Iron instead of a chess board?

Mrs. Likes to imagine her chessboard is a Tire Iron when she plays

Oct-18-08  hms123: <jess> Good evening. the wine (a Portuguese white) is taking effect. It went well with the veggie risotto that I stirred up. at any rate, it is time for me to read something other than chess literature (which is now scattered all over the house) before hitting the hay. See you later alligator.

Oct-18-08  hms123: <jess> one last comment--the sad part came years later when my daughter was 8 or 9 and we were visiting my parents. My dad wanted to play chess so I said that my daughter would play him and I would "help" --of course, "we" won--and never could play again. I should have let him win--but how could I?
