jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

Oct-28-08  technical draw: Oops! How did I wind up here? This is a strange forum. Strange like Canada. The US has a 5 number zip code. Easy enough. So how come Canada has a "zip" code with alternating numbers and letters, 6 of them!? Must be the cold.
Oct-28-08  Open Defence: my hobbit name was Esmeralda Soggybottom or something like that...
Oct-28-08  Eyal: <Deffi> Well, it depends by which name you go... Open Defence is <Esmerelda Bracegirdle of Hardbottle>, Red October is <Goldie Gamwich of the Bree Gamwiches>, and your "real" name (according to your published game with Mr. Hammarstrom) is <Ruby Dogwood of Shadydowns>. Which do you like best?
Oct-28-08  Open Defence: I guess Ruby Dogwood is the <real> Hobbit ?!

but you gotta admit <<Goldie Gamwich of the Bree Gamwiches>, is catchy :)

Oct-28-08  Open Defence: <Ruby Dogwood of Shadydowns> sounds like $9.95 an hour lol
Oct-28-08  Ragh: <jessicafischerqueen: Hi <Rahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!> heh= yes it looks like our dreams are coming true.

<GM Viswanathan Anand> <is> World Champion. He will <remain> World Champion. And there is no possible way anyone can ever say "OK he's champ <but> it's not unified, he's champ <but> it wasn't a match, he's champ <but> he didn't beat the guy who beat <Kasparov> in a match, He's champ <but> he lacks a "killer instinct, he's too nice a guy."

NO MORE.

never, ever, again.

The Tiger is a Cobra is a Killer.

His moves are <murderous>, as <Domdaniel> called one of them during the <Mexico Tournament>.

HE'S A WRECKING CREW! HE'S NUMBER ONE!!

HE'S THE GREATEST MAN IN HISTORY!!

Best,
JFQ >

Jess, It seems the our predictions have gone a tad upside down. Kanned Ham is catching up to the Asparagus. Go figure!

Oct-28-08  Woody Wood Pusher: <JFQ> Remember when I said I couldn't leave a chess-set setup in my house...well my favourite one, the one I was analyzing the WCC games on and I have protected for so many years...now has a rook missing.

I just came into my room and next to the computer is my chess-set all ready for tomorrow's game...and there is a big empty spot on h1 where the rook should be.

Mr. Pickles has taken it.

I'm in shock.

I hope this is not a bad omen for Anand.

  Domdaniel: <Jess> -- <1. <water boils> at 100 degrees centigrade at sea level at a certain air pressure.>

So we were all taught, but that was in the old Newtonian-Pascalian-Gibbsian universe.

"Sea level" no longer exists, due to <globule warming>. Now you have to calculate the slope of the sea - or the inclination of the ocean - and factor it in.

<y = mx + Sea>, where x and y are the coordinates of the former ocean, and <m> is the slope.

Domdaniel: <Woody> At least Mr Pickles is likely to *play* with the rook sadistically before sacrificing it.

There may just be time for the old catnip ploy: "I'll give you a hit of this, if I get my *thing* back".

Though they usually decapitate the 'thing' anyway, just to show you who's boss.

Oct-28-08  Woody Wood Pusher: <There may just be time for the old catnip ploy: "I'll give you a hit of this, if I get my *thing* back".>

Unfortunately I think it is too late to negotiate. Mr. Pickles has hidden the rook somewhere ingenious, probably in a lead lined case amongst a pile of Kryptonite.

Unless of course, it has actually been consumed, but in that case I'm not so sure I want it back.

But at least I can say I was beaten by the best.

Oct-29-08  Open Defence: <A really mediocre one.> try Accounting... it makes the Petroff exciting!

jessicafischerqueen: There is a new movie coming out to celebrate <Eminem's> come-back record. Interscope Records and Disney are putting him together with <Hannah Montana>.

It stars <Marshall n' Miley>, and it's called

<8 Miley>

It's like a cross between <High School Musical> and <Across 110th Street>.

A couple of salamanders and a boy named Newt. Amphigorey. If efts made noise, they would be on the Quack page.

Oct-29-08  Woody Wood Pusher: Anand is the Undisputed World Chess Champion!

Woooooooooo!

I should never have doubted Pickles!

WOOOOOOOOO!

Oct-29-08  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: There is a new movie coming out to celebrate <Eminem's>>

I love Eminems especially the peanut ones. Holloweenie candy tastes better than any other time of year. Wherever there's a house giving Raisinettes, I'll be there. And where there's a guy handing out Milk Duds, I'll be there too, Ma. Joad dressed up as spooky Socialist man.

Oct-29-08  Boomie: <Woody Wood Pusher: I should never have doubted Pickles!>

He's called Pickles 'cause he can pick 'em.

Top o' Love next barring a huge upset to Kamshafty.

Oct-29-08  hms123: <jess> a winged hobbit is headed your way.--ponto

<Kamshafty> ? hahahahaha

Oct-29-08  Woody Wood Pusher: Maybe Anand can relax and start a family now, or does he have hobbits of his own already?
