Dec-09-08  Open Defence: Way down upon de Squabby Ribber,
Far, far away,
Dere's wha my heart is turning ebber,
Dere's wha de old Squabs stay.
All up and down de whole creation
Sadly I roam,
Still longing for de old plantation,
And for de old Squabs at home.

Chorus

All de world am sad and dreary,
Eb-rywhere I roam;
Oh, darkeys, how my heart grows weary,
Far from de old Squabs at home!

NEW!

I am adding the Kingscrusher <youtube> video analyses of <Bobby Fischer's My 60 Memorable Games> to my Profile--

The first three games are already analzyed and the hyperlinks are in my forum under the <Youtube Fischer game Analysis> section!!

Dec-09-08  hms123: I am <Heard Darn Owls>, which reminds me of an <avatar> I once knew. I think I like the <hobbit names> better.

Yes, but at least your anagram, or "magrana", name, is useful.

Every year hundreds of owlboys herd the mighty owl across the great western prairie.

Few have seen such a majestic sight without feeling the wondrous, enduring thrill of the American West.

Dec-09-08  0o0o0o0o0: Hello,

I'm assuming that those pigeons were fed growth horomones - their heads were massive.

Where's the pigeons? Upstairs crying onto their massive pillows.

From <I married an axe-murderer>...

Thanks for dropping by!!

No, those are <bona fide> "natural growth" squab from China!!

If you have any further <squab-related> Holiday Recipe questions, feel free to post them here as usual.

Dec-09-08  Jim Bartle: Jessica, have you ever listened to the Stephanie Miller morning radio show?

She grew up in Buffalo, and sometimes takes to exclaiming "Guy Lafleur" just because she likes the sound of it.

jessicafischerqueen: Hi <Jim> very nice to see you!!

Heh no I don't know that radio show, but <The Flower> is the stuff of legend in Canada. Everyone loves him. I'm not sure what he does now= Senator, maybe, or Car salesman.. can't remember.

Do you speak Canadian?

You became something of a "folk hero" for your long suffering experience in the <GM Short> forum-- I followed the "action" there on the advice of our good friend in common, <Woody Wood Pusher>.

We are currently playing a "team consultation game" in <Woody's> place, in which we all are on both teams- White AND Blsck.

Drop by to see our game, and make any comments you like as an esteemed "guest commentator."

And, as always, any <squab-related> questions/ideas you have are always welcome here.

Ack! Your EMU didn't go through!!

Can you try to resend??

Dec-10-08  Woody Wood Pusher: haha

My SQUAB never made it.

It didn't stand a chance what with the high winds lately.

I was just suggesting ideas on how to manage the Analysis Tree better, but our latest reorganization has already taken care of it.

I shall feed this SQUAB up better before sending him off.

Dec-10-08  YouRang: <jessicafischerqueen: Hi <YouRang>!!

thanks for nominating me for <best name>.

It's been ages== I'm glad I'm here because I see that the <WOK IN THREE> prediction contest is coming!!>

You're welcome. Unfortunately, there is no category for "Best Squab-Related Forum", or at least "Best Random Topic Forum". :-)

<WOK IN THREE> -- Its clever how that can be both: (1) a reference to "Wijk Aan Zee", and (2) the name of a potential squab recipe.

I hope you can participate in the Corus prediction contest. It's just not the same without your "round bun", "round tube", "round tree", "round floor" (etc.) predictions.

Domdaniel: <Jess> Have you tried squab brains with fusilli and wild rice?

Me neither. Couldn't catch the rice.
