Dec-10-08  Mrs. Alekhine: Squab?

Dec-10-08  Jim Bartle: Guy La Fleur unretired after several years without playing. In the meantime helmets had become mandatory. But players who had started their careers without helmets were allowed an exception.

So for a year there was LaFleur out on the ice, his hair flying, the only player without a helmet.

jessicafischerqueen: Yes, and he finished his career with <NY Rangers> as well- sadly, a shell of his former self.

Unlike <Messier>, who managed to win a <Cup> with the Rangers in the twilight of his career.

jessicafischerqueen: <slomarko: i protest against these cleanings of forums which seems to be in fashion lately. things should remain there as an evidence and reminder of angslo's past misdeeds.>

HAHAHAA

Brilliant....

And out of nowhere, in the context of the thread it comes from,

You have to admire the dedication.

I'm a little sad I'm not allowed to have mortal enemies anymore.

Oh well I suppose I could get some here in Korea.

If I learn how to say anything more than "I want some bananas, please."

Dec-11-08  Open Defence: Squabbys roasting on an open fire,
Jack Squab nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like little Squabs.

Everybody knows a Squab and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny squabs with their eyes all aglow,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa's on his way;
He's loaded lots of squabs and goodies on his sleigh. And every mother's child is going to spy,
To see if Squabs really know how to fly.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To squabs from one to ninety-two,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
A very Merry Squabmas to you

  jessicafischerqueen: <Merry Squabmus>!!!

OK to best enjoy this Squab, Open the <youtube> Christmas Squabol, then sing along with the posted lyrics!!

<Billy Gilman singing Oh Holy Squab> (and he's only 10 years old!!):

===

===

<Oh, Holy Night, the squabs are brightly shining,

It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth

Long lay the <<<Squab>>>, in sin and ever Squabbling,

Thill He appeared, and something something somethinnnnnng!!!

The thrill of Hope, the Weary Squab rejoices,

For yonder breaks a new and glorious Squab....

FAAAAAAAALLL ON YOUR SQUAB...

and hear the Angel's voices,

On NIIGGGHT DIVINE,
Oh Night, When Christ was born,

On Night, Divine, oh night divine..>

Dec-11-08  Woody Wood Pusher: <Our finest squabs we bring,
To lay before the King

squab squabba squab squab, squabba squab squab>

hhahahaha

That's great!

Too many cans of cider for the choir before this one.

Dec-11-08  hms123: <jess> For that matter, <Did you get a haircut? No, I got them all cut.>

- Did you get a haircut?

- No, just 103479 of them. 51739 on each side of my head and one on my chin.

Dec-12-08  achieve: <Jess> btw - check Nako's forum - major opportunity for WHUPASSING, right before SQUABMUS!

heh

Dec-12-08  hms123: <jess> I went and looked at <Nako's>--those people are nuts. All that <squab>-ling (isn't that one of those panda's? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ling_L...(panda)) to no end.

Best,
E. M. Forster

Dec-12-08  Woody Wood Pusher: Early forecasts warn of a potential SQUAB developing in our area!

haha

Dec-12-08  Mrs. Alekhine: Heh thanks you guys!!

The last five posts in here all have the word <squab> in them!!

Go see my post at <Eyal's> place to see why this is so crucial.

Especially during the Holiday Recipe season.

I think those people should concern themselves with shopping for a nice Christmas Squab, rather than arguing in somebody else's forum.

I'm going to roast mine on a HIBACHI

Dec-12-08  Mrs. Alekhine: <El Piano>

I was about to erase the <moved tree> from my forum, because that rascal <Squabby Squab Squabber> has moved <Qf4??>.

So now our forum is for <Qf4 Bg7>.

So none of the lines in our <moved tree> have that.

Then I realized I should wait for you to switch over-- I think you want to save all those old lines on a word file and keep them--

I will as well. That way we can keep the work.

Dec-12-08  Woody Wood Pusher: New species of SQUAB identified:

the <HOMING SQUAB>!

11.Nc3!?

Dec-12-08  Open Defence: Eggman
Dec-12-08  hms123: <woody>

What's this sound? <hmmmmm>

It's the call of the <humming squab>. The <humming squab> is very intelligent and often says <cogito ergo squabum> for no reason at all.

If every <squab> you saw were to hum, and you concluded that <all squabs hum>, would that make them <Hume-ing squabs>?

Inferentially yours,
David

Dec-12-08  achieve: <Mrs A.> Copied it! - feel free to de-squabberrrrr

I saved it all.

Er.. could <you> please take care of deleting what needs to be deleted in the Profile?

I don't trust myself with the job.

I'm afraid I will delete stuff that could be re-entered via transposition--

HELP

Dec-13-08  Woody Wood Pusher: < hms123: <woody>

It's the call of the <humming squab>.>

If you search carefully enough among the branches (of analysis) you may even be able to spot one and classify it properly!

Dec-13-08  Woody Wood Pusher: Hey <JFQ>

I know you are busy analyzing <our game>, but if you have a second, could you take a look at the Saturday puzzle with a computer?

G Giorgadze vs Xu Jun, 1996

The solution is 35.g6 which I missed (although I saw the right line up to Qg5 but didn't see how to progress)

Anyway, I thought

35.Qh3 would win as well, with ideas like

35.Qh3,Qxc2 36.Qxh5,Bxd3 37.g6,hxg6 38.Nxg6 etc

Could you let me know how black defends against 35.Qh3?, no rush though.

I think I have exhausted all my brain power analyzing SQUAB lines.

hehe

Cheers.
