jessicafischerqueen: Heh well there aren't any posting guidelines of any kind whatsoever on <youtube>.

I just watched this video about an Aussie gentleman claiming he was buddies with <Bobby>, and that he gave <Fischer> a key "end game lesson".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2f9...

Here's one of the <youtube> kibbutzes about the video-- I just glanced at it and almost spit up my hamburger laughing...

"Australians are terrible people."

HAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAH

heh

jessicafischerqueen: Btw the other <youtube> link I left just above the "aussie" one is another <Fischy> tale--

I don't know if it's true. Anyone have hard info?

The video says that <Bisguier> noticed that <Bobby> was asleep- on <Bobby's clock>-- during their game that was put into <My 60 Memorable Games>--

And that <Bisguier> woke <Bobby> up, and later he said it was "The worst chess blunder I ever made in his life."

Is this true?

It's certainly humorous.

Feb-10-09  achieve: <Jess>!!

I just posted a game I played this afternoon at my forum, 20 min + 15 secs incr per move, and I am totally spent... But delighted with a thrilling game!

I'd be also thrilled if you'd have a look at it, when you have time, as the harrowing phase that follows my unfinished analysis was incredibly exciting, with me going for the a-pawn, leaving chances for Crafty on the Kside & E-file....

I think you can just copy/paste the PIG for easy PlayBack.

Brrrrr - this was tough...

I have the highest respect for you being able to play 2 <TWO HOUR LONG> games at yahoo on one day... I am exhausted, yet I went in feeling fresh as a daisy, and charged to kick some engine a$$.

I feel like I deserve a drink now!

Stupid, eh?

Well, I'll take Lars out for a little bike-ride, and let him drive.

  jessicafischerqueen: BLOODY GOOD SHOW

heh

I look forward to investigating your famous victory tomorrow after work...

Feb-10-09  Travis Bickle: Jess heres a very quick clip of Bobby with a famous quote.

Feb-10-09  Woody Wood Pusher: <PS: <Jess> <Woody> I've met Bent many times even got drunk with him once (OK I was drunk and he was just feeling good!). A story all to itself... ;) Great guy! <Super GM grin>>

HAHAHA

<mal> did you go in for a little DISCO with him as well!?

DISCO will never die!

When you were 'allegedly' drunk <mal>, he didn't try and turn the conversation towards your latest opening novelties by any chance did he?

hehe

Feb-10-09  Travis Bickle: Is the politicians name Ulf? LOL

jessicafischerqueen: From the <Magnus Carlsen Statistics Theory Page>:

<Top on that, you had the nerve to call me an <engineer>.

HAHAHAHAAHAH

Yes, a scathing insult indeed...

Feb-11-09  Travis Bickle: Thanks for the info Jess. Will she have a picture on her site? When I asked earlier about the politicians name being Ulf, I thought that was Acirce's real name.

jessicafischerqueen: <Ulf Andersson> was a child prodigy and one of the greatest Scandinavian players in history.

I think <acirce's> name is <Dag Hammarskjold>.

Or <Ban Ki Moon>...

I can never remember

Yes I think <Deffi> will soon have her picture up and she is very beautiful.

She makes other women look like bowls of old oatmeal.

Feb-11-09  Woody Wood Pusher: <She makes other women look like bowls of old oatmeal.>

Maybe <K-47> should watch out then, she has played the beautiful chess-player card enough anyway.

Feb-11-09  Woody Wood Pusher: Hey <JFQ> have you seen that 'chess predator' advert on the main page.

A one size fits all opening system for Black against 1.d4/e4

Why am I not buying it?

HAHAHAHA

Feb-11-09  Travis Bickle: <jessicafischerqueen: I think <acirce's> name is <Dag Hammarskjold>.

Or <Ban Ki Moon>...

I can never remember> I heard his name was Adolf Bin Laden. [:@ )

jessicafischerqueen: Heh hi ho <Wood>-- thanks for those <Ulf Larsen> wins you gave me-

I played through them both- he was no slouch beating the world's best in their prime like that.

the <Chess Predator> is great <wood>.

It's from the future I think.

Feb-11-09  Travis Bickle: Lady Jess Its Been A hard days Night And Ive Been Working Like A Dog..... ...I Should Be Sleeping Like A Log... but Im still up at 5:10 am. Just thought Id say Hi Ho M'Lady ; P

jessicafischerqueen: Nothing better than <Beatles> in the middle of the night, <Travissimo>.

Unless it's <Genesis>.

Here is my hero with a breathtaking live performance of <The Musical Box>:

Check out how beautiful Peter Gabriel looks, and how cool Steve Hackett is on lead guitar- he never stands up. He likes to sit.

Feb-11-09  Travis Bickle: <jessicafischerqueen> Hey Jess it is ok to call you Sybill? LOL
Feb-11-09  Woody Wood Pusher: <the <Chess Predator> is great <wood>.

It's from the future I think. >

A post-apocalyptic future where all opening knowledge has been lost maybe.

Hold on there is a big guy in shades knocking at my door...

Feb-11-09  Woody Wood Pusher: Hey <JFQ> I have been trying to get into that new Scotch line you showed me, haven't succeeded yet online, but I did play an interesting Scotch game in which I was nearly pushed off the board unfortunately...

1.e4,e5 2.Nf3,Nc6 3.d4,exd4 4.Bc4,Nf6 5.0-0

click for larger view

Seeing as it was a rapid game (30 mins each) I decided to try an 'innovation' here...despite our conversation on the abilities of the yahoo crowd. But those are the sort of stupid moves that keep me a patzer!

haha

5...d5?! 6.exd5,Nxd5 7.Nxd4,Nb6 8.Nxc6,Qxd1 9.Rxd1,bxc6 10.Re1+,Be7 11.Bb3,a5 12.Bg5,f6 13.Be3,Kf8

click for larger view

and it was here that our discussion on the hardiness and tactical acuity of the yahoo crowd came back to haunt me, and I realized I was in trouble.

14.a4,Nd5 15.Bd4,Bb7 16.Nd2,c5 17.Be3,Bd6 18.Nc4,Nxe3 19.Rxe3

click for larger view

I had the feeling this was almost lost for me OTB, so I tried the last best shot at equality...

19...Bd5!?

20.Nxa5,Bxg2!

(I think he had missed this! hehe)

21.Kxg2,Rxa5 22.Rae1,Ra8 23.Bd5!,Rd8 24.b3,Be5 25.c4,g6 26.a5,Kg7 27.Bb7,Rb8 28.a6

click for larger view

I've been having some bad results lately and I suspected I was about to add to my losses here, but I kept fighting!!

28...Rxb7 29.axb7,Rb8 30.Red1,Bd6! 31.Kf3,Rxb7 32.Rde1?,Rb8

Luckily my opponent was getting short of time, and after a few more moves I was able to construct this fortress...

42.Rh8+,Kg7

click for larger view

During the game I thought it was sound but who knows, he certainly didn't have enough time to try and break it down so I offered the draw (even though I could have tried to win on time maybe...but that is not my style).

1/2-1/2

So the conclusion is, don't underestimate those yahoo players!!

hehe

Thanks for dusting off my Scotch knowledge <JFQ>, when I actually get a worthy game in the 4...Qf6 line you pointed out I will let you know.

Cheers!

Feb-11-09  Travis Bickle: Jess my comment about sybill was made as a silly joke long before people started bad mouthing you on the Fischer page.

jessicafischerqueen: <Travis> never worry about me like that- I can take care of myself.

Except for all those times I've gone crying for help to all of my friends here in a hysterical fit.

I've never been insulted by anything you said- I don't see why I would be.

Also, I don't really consider that Fischer page nonsense "bad mouthing" compared to what some people have posted before.

Also, I'd be a hypocrite to complain because I have been as mean and stupid and harsh as anyone at this website.

I'm making myself a regular on the <Fischer page> because he's my favorite player and there are lots of people who aren't off their rocker who have valuable <Fischer> info and want to discuss <Bobby> and his games. If more of us post there with <actual Fischer> ideas, info, and questions, the thread will be improved no matter how many lunatics come out of the woodwork.

As they always do.

I wonder why they live in the woodwork to begin with.

Ok never mind then.. what was I saying..

Oh yes!

I'm happy for your support, and also your good comradeship!

Thank goodness <CG.com> is still part of the old Soviet Union.

Feb-12-09  Travis Bickle: Jess I left a comment before and then I removed it because I thought maybe you needed to vent, but its nice being friends with you. ; )
Feb-12-09  Travis Bickle: Hi Ho! Lady Jess I just won a 10 minute game on playchess as Black. I played The Najdorf, Bobbys game ; P It was a very uncharacteristically a positional game. I used Fritz after the game and I made 1 wrong move in the end game that killed off about 3 of my pawns but I managed to hold the position and win on time. P.S. Do you ever play on Playchess? I think they have the best site out there! My handle is Mr Hyde hahah.
