jessicafischerqueen: <8284> Hey <Whiteshark> it's been more than two years since you posted in my forum.

What's up? How come you stopped getting a premium membership these days?

I will continue to consult, but unfortunately (for me), I mainly only consult old chess games.

I don't suppose that's going to help much.

heh

HAHAHAAHA

By coincidence I posted the <Expedition to Lake Pahoe> tonight at the <Fischer page>.

"And when I say that there is no cannibalism in the <New Royal Navy>, I mean that there is a certain amount."

heh...

  jessicafischerqueen: Hi <Howard>!!

It's <Nurse Betty Boop>.

I was <Grover> for a while today but I looked so much like <blacksburg> that I read about 30 "blacksburg" posts thinking- "hey- that's something I might say."

BEFORE I REALIZED I WAS RE-READING MY OWN POSTS!!

Ok so then I thought <Nurse Boop> was the cutest of the Avatars they had left and I wanted to change clothes for spring.

Although I was tempted briefly to select the <Ivanchuk> avatar- which features the <most unflattering head shot in history>.

He looks almost exactly like a large hamburger. You'd think they could find a more flattering picture. And why are there two avatars of <Leko>?

I almost fell alseep as I passed them and I only looked at his sleep-inducing face for about a second.

<Mrs. Alekhine> is following suit, but as you can see she is only at stage one- she has just taken off her old clothes but has yet to don a new outfit.

Also, peace and interesting chess talk has descended on the <Fischer page>.

But for how

Oh that's so wonderful---

A chess Boop cartoon...

What beautiful animation and it was funny as well.

thank you so much!!!

I like Betty Boop so I'll be keeping this one.

I usually keep them for at least a year.

What on earth could have been the odds?!

Feb-12-09  achieve: To avoid misunderstanding:

I honestly read the <8284> (sharky - whom I like a lot) post at <Dom>'s in 2008 for the first time earlier this morning, purely coincidental.

No bad taste joke intended if perceived; just thought I'd clear away any possibility of possible misinterpretation.

The odds indeed...

I really "belatedly" appreciated that post from last year, and was wondering how I had missed it last year.

Cheers!

Feb-12-09  Ragh: Hmm.. When I logged in today, I noticed the missing of thousands of intense-looking <Carry on Molasses> avatars that were sprawling across the breadth and depth of the entire CG website?! I am not really familiar with this new star-trek character <Nurse Butty Boop>. Why is she called as Butty anyway? Well, I thought Molasses was better. Or may be even that deceased Frech queen.
Feb-12-09  madlydeeply: Hi Jess I was reading what you said about the scotch up there...I play the scotch gambit a lot which invariably turns into the two knights defense...and the white strategic plans seem extremely clear cut in that line..although Marin seems to think that black is just fine in it...

Anyhow sometimes people play a lame fourth move after 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 d4 exd4 4 Bc4....like ..h6 or ..Be7. So I get to transpose into the Scotch proper with 5 Nxd4. Whoopee!! But i don't know much about the scotch, i realized. Any awesome books you know of? Or are you simply a "mechanical" girl. Hmm maybe I should get with it and learn how to use fritz already.

ps. Mr Kim's daughter confirmed to me that I "don't want to go to Korea because everybody there works as hard as Mr. Kim". issat true?

pps have you been to the DMZ which apparently is in pristine ecological condition now?

Arright thats all i got.

Feb-12-09  just a kid: Hey <jess>!Sorry I haven't posted here in a while.Ok so today we had a chess meet with all of the Junior highs in our district(the 6th one there are two matches each meet.)We were undefeated going into today's rounds and I easily won on Board 2 in the first round(it is like an olympiad style tournament.)Our board 5 lost and our board 4 won easily also. Then our Board 1(even though I'm better than him)doesn't see a trapped Knight that his opponent has and loses the game. Then our Board 3 misses a draw in a lost position and we lose 3-2.If our board 3 would've drawn we would have had a record of 10-0-1 against our closest competitors(which happened to be our opponent.)which would of had 8-1-1 with three matches to go!Instead we are tied with 11-1!Instead of winning our school's first chess title we might not win.I'm mad.

You will have to learn to obey the rules of Ragh.

Or you will face his <wraghth>.

HAHAHAAHAAHAAH

I'm examining my draw today now with the OE and I'm finding the results very encouraging...

It's also making me feel like an idiot for agreeing to the draw.

More on this in the <Euwe Center> later after I examine further...

jessicafischerqueen: Also, <The Center> is the right place to examine further, since I faced the <Dutch Defence> for the first time in my entire life today.

Which is less dramatic than it sounds, given that I opened every single chess game I ever played in my life <1.e4> until last August, of course.

How come nobody told me the boss of this place has his own player page?

Also, his photograph is very intimidating.

But his chess rating is the same as mine.

Do you think I should challenge him to a game?

  jessicafischerqueen: <Dr. Euwe>

I will post at your place tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure something out with my game.

I will also be asking many <chess psychology> questions, so I hope

"The Doctor is in."

Feb-13-09  achieve: <Morphette> heh - I will be in tomorrow, but will be away on Sunday, to the biggest Liberry in Europe, which is rumoured to be in Amsterdam - well that's how it was advertised - getting some chord voicing tutorials for Piano.

I am really taking my renewed musical adventure seriously, and I love it, but some "hard labour" lies ahead as well. But it should be fun.

Yep - I will be checking in tomorrow morning, prolly afternoon your time.

BRING IT ON!!

Also, I will try and prepare something from the game I recently played, on the thought processes that went on in my head, for those two hours, and how I looked in vein for attacking possibilities on the weakened <f6> square...

Another trademark of the Master player - is that they do not spend time on things unnecessary; they are not scared of things we tend to be scared of, and they have an instinct for what are the few most promising continuations, and be very effective that way. Also time management-wise.

Incredible really how <Wesley So> embarrassed several seasoned Masters in Corus, as if he knew better what was going on... Of course through the internet they can play dozens of times more practice games th\an the older ones could.

I'll try and find a fitting illustration of one of his games.
