| Feb-14-09 | | Woody Wood Pusher: <Ok- what about <Radjabov> deliberately using the <Scotch> to draw so he can win with <Black>? Same thing? Worse? Better? >
Good question...I don't really follow his games so I don't know what to think about that. How odd!? I will watch out for it in future though! |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Drawmore Radjabov> heh
Given that 66 per cent of GM games are drawn, they are all kind of easy targets if you think about it. Except for crazy people like <Alexander Nodrawzovich>. |

| Feb-14-09 | | Woody Wood Pusher: <JFQ> Just to make sure you don't feel too bad about that draw you took I will show you what happens to me when I get caught out thinking about my rating... Here is a game I played on yahoo recently against a 1950 Elo player with 30 mins each. I had White so in theory should have been playing for a win, but when the game started I clicked into his profile and saw he had won about twice as many games as he had lost. Unfortunately his great stats, and my poor recent streak of losses conspired to turn me chicken and I played ultra safe to secure my draw (But even then he got some pressure on me!) Shameful I know, here are the gory details uploaded in <PGN format> for easy viewing (courtesy of a new website <Zanshin> made me aware of see my profile for details.) As a Fischer fan, if you feel the need to puke, then please use the bag provided. 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.Bg5 Be7 5.e3 dxc4 6.Bxc4 c5 7.Nc3 cxd4 8.Nxd4 Qa5 9.Qa4+ Qxa4 10.Nxa4 Bb4+ 11.Ke2 Nbd7 12.Nb5 O-O 13.a3 Ba5 14.b4 Bd8 15.Nd6 Ne5 16.Bb3 Nd5 17.Bxd5 exd5 18.Bxd8 Rxd8 19.Nxc8 Raxc8 20.Rac1 Nc4 21.Rc3 d4 22.exd4 Rxd4 23.Rhc1 Re8+ 24.Kf1 b5 25.Nc5 Kf8 26.Nb3 Rd7 27.g3 Rd6 28.Nc5 h6 29.a4 Nd2+ 30.Kg2 bxa4 31.Ra1 Ne4 32.Nxe4 Rxe4 33.Rxa4 Rd7 34.Rca3 Ree7 1/2-1/2 Draw agreed.

| Feb-14-09 | | hms123: <woody> Good game. My quick look led me to think that <21.Rhd1> is worth examining. |
|
| Feb-14-09 | | Woody Wood Pusher: <hms> Yea good spot! I thought about that when I was typing it up, but didn't consider it in the game because I was so focused on doubling on the c-file, like the bloody cyclops I am! 21.Rhd1,Nxa3 22.Rxc8,Rxc8 23.Rxd5,g6 24.Rd7,Rb8 25.Nc5, does look more active, but I was in a strange mindset the whole game and just wanted to draw it from move one because I had lost the last 2 blundering in time trouble. Thanks for taking a look! |

U know my email so email me marj.... i need sadvakasov karpov games link 04, i iddont check here often, as u know, im awaiting chessmaster2k with mouse control, u said u've seen it,
im still amazed with rumors of boby dying few minutes after midnight 1 18 08, hmmm, if it was 1 08 08 would be better to remember, same with actor bernie mac died 2am aug 9, otherwise it would have been 8 8 08 but didnt deserve such day! how old ru what u do for living, i am reporter |
|
| Feb-15-09 | | ChessMasta2000: send me last game boby played n link, i think moorphy'[s was 1883 |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Hi <chessmasta2000>! Yes I spend almost every second of my free time studying/playing chess. I'm an English teacher in Korea.
You are a reporter!!! What country do you live in?
I don't have any source of <gamelinks> outside of this website- But you can access the games you are interested in just by going to the home page here and using the search box. So apart from the last <Bobby> game in our database, I'm not aware of how to get any other info. For the Karpov game-- I'm sure it's here. Just type in the names of both players and the year. IE-
Karpov-Sadvakasov 2004
for example.
If you get any more hard information about <Bobby>, keep posting it here. Thanks! |

Inappropriate???
Those are my favorite kinds.
NO TEASERS!!
Ok I just posted 30 inappropriate things in <The Center>, but I deleted them so you will never know what they said. HA!
Nobody pushes me around. |

| Feb-15-09 | | achieve: <Jess> Congrats on a good and healthy grind- and thanks for welcoming <A. J. Goldsby> at my place. But I read you were quite knackered following that win, so I will not bother you asking for FENS 'N' CHAT heh
Well I reacted a bit irritated to the person you so kindly answered so I deleted it. OK then!
I'll be out most of the day, stashing Lars with a friend, and go into town for a loooong while, sniff to the many many books , DVDs CDs of the Liberry here. Actually the latest Deep Shredder versions (10 & 11) are known to be the best at most endgames, is what I read. Rybka wasn't better. But even Anand said that they still are immensely limited in areas like certain endgames. And he has got the state of the art hard and software. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Hmmm.....
If permitted, I believe I will use the resources of <The Center> for my endgame analysis lessons then. Last time I sent out the SOS four endgame experts told me how to make the plan and then showed a whole variety of actual winning lines. Your sniffing day sounds excellent...
I will be sniffing Vancouver in August with my new list of books and chess DVDs to buy... |
|
| Feb-15-09 | | achieve: Today <The Center> is all yours, my dear Jess. Yep, I'll take a cupla sandwiches and a bottle of water with me, my newly acquired OBA pass and ID card, and sniff it all out. Good thing is that on Sundays the traffic in Amsterdam Center is pretty quiet. But on my bike I will zoom right through and arrive within 35 minutes in any case. Best, Bill. |
