 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Howard> I've been meaning to ask you. What *is* CBF?
Is it to do with "CB Radio"?
Is it one of those diseased Jerry Lewis telethons?
I didn't say anything sooner because I was embarrassed I didn't know what it is. |

| Jun-20-09 | | SugarDom: Ok my queen, i will respect your castle and not fight Mr. Travis Bickle here. I will go and attack his castle.

<SugerDom>
Well be careful- <Travis> is a good man but he can be quick with the "ignore function" when he wants to be. Also, just to let you know-
The last scene of <Taxi Driver> is Robert deNiro and Cybil Shepperd sitting in a car- and Cybil has the hots for him because he's "famous" now. Even though he is obviously a murderous psychopath.
Also, the scene in which Bob blows off the pimp's hand and then proceeds to kill all the rest of them, rescuing Jodie Foster, is one of the greatest scenes in film history. I was just discussing this film with Marty Scorcese the other day. He comes over for coffee sometimes. |
|
| Jun-20-09 | | SugarDom: Oh good, JFQ, i was worried it would be too violent for you. Actually, i posted the last scene of taxi driver here but i deleted it, i thought it would bother you.. Haha, there's nothing serious between Travis and me, all jest... I think i'm even entertaining him...i'm giving him the excuse to post all those Travis Bickle videos...He'll miss me for sure... <I was just discussing this film with Marty Scorcese the other day.>

| Jun-20-09 | | AlphaTsino: The KOREAN people, and the whole Korean Peninsula have the utmost desire to be unified in Peace, as ONE NATION. The ideological divide and the GLOBAL geo-political players are preventing this to happen - The Economic might of the South combine with the military clout of the North, put this altogether and the Koreans will do great, toe-to-toe with the Japanese and the Chinese in development, technology, and economy, sports, on and on... The thought of a ravaging WAR between the two has maintained the STATUS QUO, per se, a peace or "truce" in place, until a lasting solution to the Korean Peninsular dilemma, but I am afraid to say World Politics and Economics is preventing this to being realized because of the enormous impact of a Unified Korea to Global economic competitiveness.... |

That's an extremely interesting theory you have there. I'm going to ask the three smartest Korean people I know what they think about your theory. I will report back with their observations.

| Jun-20-09 | | just a kid: Hi jess!I recently finished a online tournament. The time control was 60 moves in 60 minutes.Nevertheless I played too fast =).My most interesting game was in the 6th game.I played a King's gambit and made a rook sacrifice for an attack that wasn't easy to defend. If he defended perfectly though. He would have won.Guess what.He played the only moves!I will post all the games later. |

| Jun-20-09 | | chessmoron: <Jessica> Nothing much. Probably I reopened the forum next 2 week or more. |

| Jun-21-09 | | BishopofBlunder: <Trigonometrist: Now that the <Bishopofblunder> has entered the arena, it's my duty to remind kibitzers of the <JFQ> forum that a vicious <TRIANGLE> formed by <SugarDom>,<Travis Bickle> and <Bishopofblunder> is now established... Forgive me <Jess>...After all as a Trigonometrist <TRIANGLES> are my weakness...:)> Don't mind me, I was just passing through and providing commentary. <just a kid: Hi jess!I recently finished a online tournament. The time control was 60 moves in 60 minutes.Nevertheless I played too fast =).My most interesting game was in the 6th game.I played a King's gambit and made a rook sacrifice for an attack that wasn't easy to defend. If he defended perfectly though. He would have won.Guess what.He played the only moves!I will post all the games later.> Yeah, baby! I love the King's Gambit. If only I knew how to play it... |

Isn't that a bit of an oxymoron? Then again, I'm a Texan. We need a dictionary for any word with more than 4 letters or 2 syllables. |

 | | Domdaniel: <That Something in the air, the Zeitgeist> (1) In Dublinese, pretty much any kind of printed matter with more than one page is called a <book> -- it rhymes with 'nook', not with 'look'. (2) A Pooka, as described by the great Myles na Gopaleen, is 'a courteous sort of devil'. Also, as described by William Burroughs, Ah Pook is a Mayan Death/Corn God. (3) Death is corny, but love is pure schmaltz.
(4) <Jess> -- all this recent hormonal activity is tres weird. Chess magazine (UK) even had a picture of a *wedding* on its May 2009 cover -- "Match of the year ! Jovanka and Arne get married". I think she has the higher rating of the couple, which is one good thing going for 'em. (5) If your admirers want to fight to the death for you, why not let 'em? I'm sure many interesting types of sudden-death squabbery could be devised, which would while away these tedious summer evenings. as ever,
your admirer-but-do-not-toucher,
Attila the Pun. |
