Jan-15-10  Travis Bickle: Jess I checked out your birthday song and the link was bad so heres another one from a special rock star performing in Moscow LOL!

Jan-16-10  achieve: Hi <Jess>! Good to see you back again! We're doing pretty much OK, except for a flat tire and my back-pack is torn - but I am having some problems with my internet connection, so I'm really anxious to get it all working again, with Corus first round coming up in a few hours, also a lot of games by the youngsters we've both been rooting for (Robson, v Kampen, Giri -- they're all participating in groups B an C).

It's gonna be a veritable CHESS FEAST this coming fortnight, and I better not have ANY "comp-trouble"...

Who wants to be OFFLINE DURING CORUS?

Exactly!

heh

jessicafischerqueen: <Dr. Euwe of the double posting>

You said it!

Only half an hour till the kickoff with <The Return of the Magi> taking the white pieces against the great turf racing champion <Tikkanen>, who shocked the world with his Breeder's Cup Turf Classic win at one and a half miles over the soft going.

But as you said, our eyes will also be on the exciting young superstars such as <Robin Van Camping Equipment> (2456), <The Amish Guru> (2585), <Sugar Ray Robinson> (2570) and of course the Pride of Group B, the already legendary <Kaiser Soza> (2656).

The best part is that I'll be on vacation for the entire <Coarse Hairy Legs> Tournament so I won't have to miss any of the LIVE ACTION

Jan-16-10  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess funny you should mention the horse Tikkanen owned by the former Candien hockey star. I bet that horse in the race you mentioned. It was a 30 dollar wager to win and when Tikkanen came from nowhere to win at the wire I won 330 bucks! ; P

  jessicafischerqueen: <Travis> Amazing score!!!

My only experience is as a horse racing history fanatic- all of which is on youtube. I don't bet on them, I just like watching them run like the true sports stars they really are. Well OK I also have a history of horse racing Flash Video game with the most astonishing graphics on my computer.

heh

Here is <Tikkanen> gunning them all down in the race you won all that money on!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-6G...

Jan-16-10  Travis Bickle: Thanks Jess for letting me relive that moment! a friend of mine bet alot of money on a horse to place (come in 2nd) and he seen me score big and his horse dropped to 3rd! man was he hot! LOL
Jan-16-10  Travis Bickle: Speaking of horse racing history, for Christmas I bought my sister the book The Horse God Built. Its on the greatest of them all, Secretariat! I cant wait until she's done reading it so I can. ; P P.S. I always dreamed of writing a screenplay on Secretariat, (Im lost unless I had a Woody Allen to show me how to format that type of writing) lol, anyway now that the book is out somebody else will probably make my movie. ; 0
Jan-16-10  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess on my forum I wrote a rather lengthy post about The Beatles in response to your wonderful Genesis Historian remarks! I hope you'll stop by to read it when you get a chance. Also I have part of their final rooftop concert for ya in HQ! They sound great! Pardon me I'm a Beatle fanatic.
Jan-16-10  achieve: Scandals, hmmm?

At least Ray got this one figured out:

<Jan-16-10
ray keene: <jane eyre> has been placed on my ignore list-as i understand it this means that this person will no longer be able to post -under that name at least-in my section>

I will refrain from additional comments.

Btw - Giri played a delightful game first round. Just love it when a (young) player converts ruthlessly.

MOBILITY! MOBILITY! MOBILITY!

<MOBILITY> is what you do *not* have when you place your pieces on the <EDGE OF THE BOARD>.

What happens when you place your pieces on squares where they <LACK MOBILITY>?

They get <TRAPPED>!

36 ... ♗c7-b6!

36 ♖b1-b7?? is an *amazing* blunder for an IM to make, but the 2415-rated White player was not paying enough attention to the <MOBILITY> of his pieces and lost the exchange and the game.

jessicafischerqueen: <Travis> great emu and I've just replied.

I swear to god if MSN tries to PREVENT ME FROM LOGGING OUT OF MY EMAIL ACCOUNT just one more time I'm "sending some guys over."

Here is in my mind the most important minute and a half of television ever broadcast and this video goes out to you <Travis>:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQOu...

This is the only man in the history of the world sexier than <Peter Gabriel>.

Jan-17-10  Travis Bickle: Jess I read your emu. ; P A$$ Kiss has me on avoid too! LMAO!!! I love you're writing style! You can say more in a paragraph than I can in an enclyopedia of words LOL!

  jessicafischerqueen: ha!

Yes the total lack of censorship in EMU format is great. Not to mention on youtube as well.

Jan-17-10  Travis Bickle: Here's a tune for you Oh My Queen!

Jan-17-10  achieve: Whoa <Jess> - I *did* notice <My Personal Gurush> and <Robbie's Magic Sugardreamcoat> both won again!! - but I was busy all day entertaining some folk here, and prepare my home before invasion. So I will get to your posts Chez Moi a bit later.

Love him or leave him.

Jan-18-10  Travis Bickle: Oh Bobby was the greatest chess player of all time no matter what Dick Taylor says! Hey Jess I have a question on what you posted on my forum & also an interesting Beatles clip working on the song I've Got A Feeling. Come explain Your Majesty and have a look. ; P
Jan-18-10  Travis Bickle: Jess here's 1 of my favorite songs by John Denver with a beautiful video. P.S. I love eagles.

I sent lyrics to. ; )

The Eagle & The Hawk
I am the eagle, I live in high country
In rocky cathedrals that reach to the sky
I am the hawk and there's blood on my feathers
But time is still turning they soon will be dry
And all of those who see me, all who believe in me
Share in the freedom I feel when I fly

Come dance with the west wind and touch on the mountain tops Sail oer the canyons and up to the stars
And reach for the heavens and hope for the future
And all that we can be and not what we are

Words and music by john denver and mike taylor
