 | | chancho: <technical draw> Yeah, the hardest working man in show business was grade A awesome.
I posted the video because your mention of his death reminded me of Brown dancing while the Angels were trumpeting in the aforementioned video. :-) |

| Feb-09-10 | | achieve: And thanks for <howard>'s contribution on ...a6, as well. Reminds me of my early studies of the RUY and Nimzo Indian ( a3 ) - and the apparent negligence re K-side development... Najdorf of course as well, and basically h3 and h6 in many openings have always stirred my investigative juices, or something. Hope to get back to the <French/Tarrasch> the coming week, as I think it is a scholarly example and perfectly fit vehicle to study this type of dynamic opening. Black does call White's bluff, after all... "Prove to me your so called advantage in development is sufficient or even decisive.." |

In the remotest case you haven't seen this site, http://chesstempo.com/chess-tactics... I've been spending way too much time here.
This is the best way I know for learning tactical motifs. If you're not registered, you get fairly easy problems. I was scoring about 90% of these. So I registered and the problems got harder. Now I'm getting about 2/3 of them. One drawback is my forehead is flattening out for all the times I've slapped it. On the other foot, I guess that would make me more attractive to the Mayans. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Hi <Niels>!
I see you started off a spirited discussion over a side variation of the Tarrasch... Good show I say. |
|
| Feb-09-10 | | achieve: All because of you my dear Jess... You spurred me to investigate <Geller> and I showed you that Tarrasch line a few days ago, of which you gave a fine assessment - ... We discussed those spectacular wins by Big <EFIM> - even at an advanced age! What I want to do is leave all the opinions for what they are, and play a set of training matches in that line with and against my engine... To do this of course i need quite some time, but certainly looking forward to it. I may post some at the Euwe Center this coming weekend... |
|
| Feb-09-10 | | Boomie: I hear there's been some Tarrasch talking here abouts. Don't go taggin' my crib with French. |

| Feb-09-10 | | crawfb5: <"Don't FENs Me In", though... (That's the title of a very old song; I even forgot who popularized it)> Adapted by Cole Porter, it has been done by a few people of whom you might have heard: Roy Rogers, Kate Smith, Bing Crosby with the Andrews Sisters, Gene Autry, and Ella Fitzgerald. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don%27... |

Pleasant surprise to see <Cole Porter> co-wrote it; what a Giant composer of that time. |

| Feb-10-10 | | Travis Bickle: Jess I just watched both parts of your Paul Keres video. It is a great work!!
You have magnificent organisation skills and provide this with artistic story telling through pictures! Also your classic music pieces chosen were exquisite!! Bravo!! Again. ; ) |

| Feb-10-10 | | Russian Grandmasters: <Boz> thanks so much for watching and commenting- I've loved <Keres> and his chess and his historical story for some time now. |
|
| Feb-10-10 | | Russian Grandmasters: <Travis> thanks for your encouragement!!! It means a lot to me. Sometimes you just feel like you're doing stuff like this in the dark- I just try to make something that I would want to watch and listen to- But then after I've done that- one second later I start wanting everyone else to watch it too. I wish people would leave more comments on the actual youtube pages-- they are very helpful- criticisms help me look at a point again, and "way to gos" help encourage me. |

| Feb-10-10 | | Russian Grandmasters: <Niels> I keep clicking on your avatar in case it opens up a box where I can type "First!"
