Feb-11-10  Travis Bickle: Thank you Jessica you are so sweet!! I am going to watch the video a little later so I won't be distracted. ; )
Feb-11-10  Travis Bickle: Outstanding first part of your Bobby video!! The beginning you set up nicely with the atmosphere of Brooklyn in those great pictures. The music again is very good! Jess I think you are improving rapidly at making these short films. I like how you use the orange letters with blue background for the information and your use of maps is nice also. What I appreciate the best is your very interesting and candid shots of Bobby and his opponents! I really like the 1 game when Tal is watching Fischer's game over his shoulder. Thanks for letting me have the honor of the 1st screening! P.S. I can't wait for part 2! ; P

jessicafischerqueen: Here is a new video about <Bobby Fischer>, featuring some very rare photos of him playing chess when he was just 8 years old:

Feb-12-10  technical draw: Fantastic video <jessica>! Great music too. An enthralling work. So many great players it's a challenge to identify them all. (I think the skinny Fischer is playing the mighty Gligoric).

Feb-13-10  A.G. Argent: Jessica - I think thanks are actually in order for your videos. Very well done; wonderful, evocative imagery. Obviously a serious labor of love. Do you mind if I ask how long the first three took you to produce? And when is #four due? And why was Castro packing heat at a chess tournament?
Feb-13-10  Travis Bickle: Hi Jess, I don't know if that show Mr Ed was any good, but I watched it every week when I was a kid LOL! I found a clip which I put on Phony Benoni's forum a few days ago. ; P
Feb-13-10  A.G. Argent: Oh sorry, just now noticed the addendum/link about it at the top of your profile.

  jessicafischerqueen: <A.G.Argent>

Thanks so much for your encouraging review of my Bobby Fischer video project- Yes, as you've seen it's finished now and I've put a playlist at the top of my Profile- all Five Parts:

Bobby Fischer: a Chess Biography http://www.youtube.com/view_play_li...

It took me around a hundred hours to complete the series- research, planning, editing.

Castro packing heat- well there's a Spanish proverb about that- I believe it translates to "Bidness take care a bidness," but we should probably ask <Technical Draw> for an exact translation.

Feb-13-10  Travis Bickle: Jess here is Paul McCartney in concert a few years after I seen him live in Chicago & Indiana playing Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. When you have a chance come on over to my forum and see the original Beatles video!

jessicafischerqueen: <Canyonero> thanks for the correct Spanish phrase-

Reminds me of how I type "Bueno Jugardores" in the chat box on Yahoo Chess when I have a Spanish speaking opponent and he types back

chancho: <Jess> If the person you play is hispanic, just type: Buena Suerte. (Good Luck). If you beat them or lose, just type: Buena Partida. (Good Game)
Feb-14-10  dakgootje: I played poker a couple of times with hispanics which was really good for my Foreign Swearing Vocabulary.
