| Feb-21-10 | | Travis Bickle: Hi Jess, That was a nice piece of music. My sister would be more qualified to give her opinion as she graduated with honors from Roosevelt University on the subject of Music Theory. Here is one of my all time favorite classical pieces. It's from the theme song from the film Raging Bull starring Robert DeNiro. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXdK... |

| Feb-22-10 | | Mrs. Alekhine: <wannabe2000>
It's Jess here-
Thanks for that link and the heads up on Bobby's page- Nice to see that the same five people are continuing the same argument they started five years ago with absolutely no results of any kind yet. There were some interesting posts there though, as you said. |

| Feb-22-10 | | Travis Bickle: Hi Jess, here's 1of my all time favorite songs By Jim Morrison & The Doors about his girlfriend Pamela Courson. P.S. I have to get up to speed on your films. I have to finish watching your Bobby series and then move on to Alekhine. I think your working on an Academy Award heh! Checkout the kibitzer page on my post of what Francis Coppola said about homemade videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVC5... |

| Feb-23-10 | | Mrs. Alekhine: <Travis> thanks for the heads up on that. There's no rush to watch the chess videos they are up now permanently I hope- I have to go back to work in a week and I'm pretty steamed about it. I just want to make chess videos. I look forward to your latest addition to the "Songs about their true love" series as well. What a great idea- I'm surprised there isn't a compilation CD of such tracks. <Travis' True Love Songs to Their Actual Girls, not Skeezy Road Hoes> could be a possible title. I will report back with my findings. |

| Feb-23-10 | | wanabe2000: You are now the Ken Burns of chess videos. |
|
| Feb-24-10 | | Mrs. Alekhine: <wanabe2000> thanks for watching chess videos! I'm making the last one now on <Vera Menchik: Chess Champion> |

| Feb-24-10 | | Travis Bickle: Hello Lady of Fischer! Here's another love song by a rock star although this 1 is a love song for Paul McCartney's sheepdog Martha! ; P Martha My Dear - The Beatles

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Travis> lol great addition to the series- Excellent photos of Sir Paul and his dog.
Did you see the comment by the guy who said "What's with all the pictures of Paul and Yoko"? hahahaha
Also it's a good song too and I never heard it before. |
|
| Feb-24-10 | | Travis Bickle: I missed that comment LOL!! Did you see in that Let It Be video of the studio version of Ive Got A Feeling, the user inserted 'Retard' when they showed Yoko LMAO!!! |

 | | chancho: <Jess> I'm surprised :). You were one of the most vocal when the Fischer page was hijacked by Fast Eddie Trice. (In all fairness basketball is harmless compared to what that a-ho was doing.) I miss ol Wilson's forum. He made it interesting. |

| Feb-24-10 | | Travis Bickle: Jessica I sent you an EMU. |

| Feb-24-10 | | crawfb5: If glowering were all it took...
I can glower with the best of them. Hearing me swear at inanimate objects would turn your hair blue. I decided my first plan had a hole in it, despite some nice lines. I have another plan, but I still think there should be more there than I am seeing. There's a lot of things up in the air at the same time, and if I overlook a move order or some other finesse, I'm cooked. On another note, I have heard curling described as "chess on ice." Are you going to treat us to a primer? You are well-versed on sweeping generalizations... |
|
Feb-24-10
 | | jessicafischerqueen: That's not true- my sweeping generalizations are by no means well-versed. They are as half-baked as the litany of PROFOUNDLY UNINFORMED "opinions" spewn daily over the <I have a Beef Stroganoff Page>. You'd think these people have time to read a book, but I suppose they subscribe to <George Costanza's> trenchant observation that "Finishing a whole book doesn't prove anything!"
My favorite moment from my occasional masochistic glances at the <Kenneth I Paid for an Argument Page> was that worthy constitutional scholar <Kibbutzer NN> capping off a particularly condescending point by announcing that "Habeus Corpus" is not mentioned in the US Constitution. It is, of course, and not only is the entire document available online in .33 seconds, it's also short enough to fit on the back of a cereal box. Don't get me wrong- I've no problem with people putting their foot in their mouths, I do it all the time. This is what comes of spouting from memory without checking facts. But our local constitutional scholar- all too predictably- forgot to post an "Oh sorry I was wrong about that" after a more alert kibbutzer kindly posted the US Constitution link for him. This kind of colossal egoism is never pretty. It's always- always really ugly. Thank god there aren't any "self-appointed scholars" here in Korea. Well maybe there are but how the hell would I know I can't speak any Korean. Curling is Death- it is boring almost beyond comprehension. I did it once. However, it's difficult to defend the joys of watching a long chess match "live" to anyone who's not obsessed with the game. I wish you the best of luck and skill in your current chess position- I stopped playing Correspondence over a year ago because the positions would interrupt my work, and my sleep by "appearing in my head". Ok then.
Thanks again for those wonderful <Menchik> resources- It seems the world has forgotten about her, which is a little strange. Everyone knows about the Polgars.
???
PS I was wrong- I should have checked my facts first- <Results 1 - 10 of about 364,000 for US constitution habeas corpus. (0.28 seconds)> Not .33 seconds like I said. |

| Feb-25-10 | | benjinathan: curling is awesome! chess on ice. |
|
| Feb-25-10 | | Travis Bickle: <jessicafischerqueen: You've Got Mail! Did you know my Mom did all the post-production sound for that movie?> Jess are you serious that your mom did the sound for the film with Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks!? I remember seeing that movie in the theaters when it came out! |

| Feb-25-10 | | Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, I happened to remember a neat story I heard on The Johnny Carson Show along time ago. The singer Vic Damone went on stage and before singing he told the audience that whenever he played Las Vegas he got a song request from Elvis Presley. Elvis who couldn't go out anywhere just like The Beatles would come to Vic Damones show incognito and ahead of time request this song for him to sing because it was Elvis's favorite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKIj... |

| Feb-25-10 | | achieve: <Exactly right- instead of worrying about how you screwed yourself in the first place- play the hero, play the hero at all times.
It feels good- and you just might triumph.> Dare playing with it, and you'll emerge the hero.
That was one of the most profound, ah, forget profound, make it "stimulating and thought provoking and inviting"-- things said recently, Jess. <My favorite moment from my occasional masochistic glances at the <Kenneth I Paid for an Argument Page> was that worthy constitutional scholar <Kibbutzer NN> capping off a particularly condescending point by announcing that "Habeus Corpus" is not mentioned in the US Constitution.> Might that be because it's "Habe<a>s Corpus" and not Habeus? Just like Foure is not <Fauré> and Boomie's Loberg might be a typo. OK - I know you are on the puck, and good to see Canada play ball after the deception against USA. Russia was decimated. Personally I prefer the technical style of Sweden mostly, and Finnland, but the sheer all court pressure and energy by Canada was equally riveting. Looks like the re-arrangement of the forward line and goalie payed off handsomely, and there is this elusive "chemistry" wave to surf. |

| Feb-25-10 | | Russian Grandmasters: lol
Thanks <Niels>!
But I'm afraid this fellow's point had nothing to do with my bad spelling. He was very insistent on this "fact" in the discussion- <twinlark> immediately pointed out his "fact" was wrong- posted the link for him- and the fellow never, ever, acknowledged that he had made an error. This was particularly rude since he had been so huffy and condescending in the "discussion", and in pressing his inaccurate and unfounded point, about which he knew SQUAT, which was my point to begin with. However, I'm happy to learn the correct spellings.
"habeas corpus"
"faure" (I can't make the accent).
I was wrong I'm a bad speller!
Doh |

| Feb-25-10 | | Russian Grandmasters: <Travis Damone>
What a great song to wake up with.
Thank you!
I think <Judy Garland> might be better than Genesis even. |
