jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

May-29-10  hms123: I amaze myself at times. I like the quiet of the morning. It's a great time to read the paper, mainline coffee, and see what my friends are up to. ("up to what my friends are"?-maybe not-it doesn't quite seem idiomatic.)
May-29-10  Red October: did you like the latest Bollywood song ?
May-29-10  crawfb5: <H> Your friends are up to no good. You should not have to get up early to know that. OTOH, maybe we are thinking about two different groups of people...
May-29-10  hms123: <Red> I think we need a Bollywood Theatre here in Nashville--Can you arrange the distribution rights? They don't make movies like that anymore--oops--I guess they do--just not here.

jessicafischerqueen: <H> I've replied with a very long hysterical EMU, followed by a very short cogent EMU.

The short one is cogent because I didn't write it.

I just now cued them up- I will report after a listen.

I notice the last one is from Kite which is in the top ten of IMDB's "hot movie list."

BOLLWOOD is getting the recognition it deserves.

I'm going to steal Kite and watch it after I watch the video.

If you guys were indeed socks for each other (as many suspect), we could just call both of you

"HMS Defiance."

It's a fact!

May-29-10  hms123: <jess> Thanks on both counts. As for me and <deffi>--it's fine with me, but I think <deffi> will have the short end of the stick.

<right> on!

<jess> Ask and ye shall receive--a well-educated emu is knocking on your door with a scholarly manuscript.

I sort of realised what the constraints were after I posted, and felt a little guilty about the critique, but rather than being typical and deleting my post, I left it.

I enjoyed the 5 part Fischer story and I can only imagine how much work you poured into these productions. Magic stuff.

Did you consider doing a post '72 series? Just asking...72-08's not so glorious so '72 might be a good place to stop, I guess.

May-30-10  twinlark: <jess>

That's wonderful! What a brilliant comet Charousek was. Klaus Junge would make a similarly interesting subject, if your project in tray isn't stacked too high already.

May-30-10  twinlark: <jess> I'm continuing this thread at my place.
May-30-10  Boomie: <Jessie>

Congratulations on your latest triumphant film...clip. You will undoubtedly garner the Cannes award for chess clips by school teachers from Canada working in Korea.

Perhaps you should place a link to the theater on the Steinitz page. Just saying...

Thanks for your encouragement!

All in good time.

The key to successful promotion is to do it in waves.

The Steinitz series is currently riding a big spike, primarily because it was posted on Nigel's page, which gets huge daily traffic.

So now we wait till the view per day ratio drops down again to almost a standstill, then we hit all the families on the same day.

Steinitz page. Steinitz game pages. Strachi. Cuneo. Barzini.

May-31-10  Boomie: <Jess Wait and See>

OK. Haul in that monster weekend box office. Memorial Day release is clever and lucrative.

I remember Steinitz. He was a grand piano, eh? Or was that a Joking Piano with an Evan's Gambit chaser?

Check It Out: <jfq> stopping by to say thanks for the great videos; they are obviously a labor of love, music and chess! Fills in some blanks for me as well...
