I tried to find a more flattering photo of <May Pang> but this is the best I could come up with:

She looks like <General Tojo>.

Oh John what was wrong with you?

Oct-04-10  Travis Bickle: <Russian Grandmasters:...Oh John what was wrong with you?> He did too much acid LOL!
Oct-04-10  Russian Grandmasters: Well yes there had to be some kind of explanation.

Note how this combination is possible only because of the great <LACK OF MOBILITY> of the boxed-in White b1-queen.

CHESSBASE ANNOTATES -> http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail...

<to be decided by the game between Nadezhda Kosintseva (2565) and Irina Chelushkina (2325). The thing is that the Serb played virtually flawless chess for the first 30 moves and had an absolutely crushing position with mate threats left and right. <<<She then had a string of mistakes, including leaving herself open to a mate missed by Kosintseva,>>>>

Oct-05-10  TheFocus: <JFQ> I did not notice when you put <GrahamClayton> on as <Most Constructive Chess Historian Kibbitzer Award> winner, but he is definitely a fantastic choice. Hats off to <GrahamClayton>!!! Hip, hip, hooray!!
Oct-05-10  Russian Grandmasters: <The Focus> I'm glad you agree- he appears to be finding, and posting valuable historical information on every single Player Page, and at quite a prodigious rate.

I know I'm always nagging you, but I really can't wait for you to open your forum.

Also, I hope you will join us next August when we select next year's <Most Constructive Chess Historian Kibbitzer Award>.

We could really benefit from your presence on the panel.

I'm not sure if you saw this either- <Graham Clayton's> most fascinating games collection in which the "simul players" deliver nasty surprises to the Masters:

Oct-05-10  Travis Bickle: Good choice for a costume Jess, I'd be afraid of Pumpkin Head!!

http://www.predatorstuff.com/blogim...

Oct-05-10  Travis Bickle: Jess, 1 year I dressed as Pumpkin Head but I made the mistake of not seeing the movie. So I told the shyster costume guy at Walmart to get me a Pumkin Head Costume. This is what I went trick or treatin' in. I never got punched in the face so many times and even by angry housewives! ; P

Oct-05-10  crawfb5: Ok the <Hunt for Atlantic Tuna> has run dry enough that I submitted an appeal to <Our Man Wint>. We shall see if any new leads emerge.

PS -- <The Focus> If you would be so kind as to post the correction to that Marshall game, I would appreciate it. I'm not in a rush, I just didn't want to let it slip between the cracks. If you would open your forum <nudge, nudge>, people wouldn't have to leave you messages in other people's forums... :-)

Oct-05-10  TheFocus: <crawbf5> I did post the correction on September 29.

I said I would open my Forum on October 1, but a computer crash caused me to buy a new laptop. But I think maybe today we have our opening today. I am putting all my <Travels with Bobby> stories there together.

I am going to repeat this post at your Forum.

Oct-05-10  TheFocus: <jess> My Forum is now open. Bring your own popcorn.
Oct-06-10  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess check out my Forum for a response to your review of "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka!". ; P
Oct-06-10  crawfb5: I think I just landed another elusive <Tuna>. The game's afoot!
Oct-06-10  dakgootje: You can only be afoot, as long as you are not defeated

Perhaps there should be made a book called "Chess-player quotations: Wise, mysterious and usually non-nonsensical."

Oct-06-10  8284: Here is a game with two <fawn pawns> for your collection: Larsen vs Gligoric, 1971
Oct-06-10  Russian Grandmasters: <whiteshark> thanks for that "double fawner"- it's really quite remarkable.

I notice you have that one in your own <h6> collection as well.

I will add it to mine once I change clothes.

  jessicafischerqueen: <Dak> a good idea.

Also, what about autobiographies?

They are automatic chess quote books.

Every single word in them is a quote. Even the quotation marks in them are quotes.

Oct-06-10  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess drop by my house for The Beatle countdown! ; P
Oct-06-10  crawfb5: I got it too. I think some sleaze hacked your address book.
