I include <Belly> as a child of <Muses>, since they also signed with 4AD though they were distributed in America by Warner, if I remember correctly. Kristen Hurst is all manner of cool, but at the end of the day I prefer Tanya Donnely, who flowered once she left <Muses>. I don't like this recording as much as the Jon Stewart show effort, because Tanya keeps looking at the camera- which is unusual for her. With <Muses>, she was more likely to stroll away from the camera and hide her face during a live televised performance. |
