<Abdel> Well it's TOP SECRET but not really because I'm not going to name names.

But in the past, gusting up to the present, as far as I know, Daniel has indeed already done what you suggest. I've never been asked to moderate any player page or official forum myself, but I know someone who has- and in my opinion they did a stellar job- might still be at it as far as I know.

I only know personally of the one case, but for all I know there may be others.

I'd like to be the official administrator of your forum, perhaps. Maybe <crawfb5> forum as well.

lol

Aug-14-16  User not found: LOL. Have you seen the original Star Wars where C3P0 comes along at the most awkward times saying "I'm fluent in over 2 billion forms of communication". I just got that 3PO feeling. Okay change of subject, lol. Man Utd will win the league and I can't wait for the new season. Where's Bickle? I logged in the other night and seen him and harry having a ding dong and thought I'd better stay out of the way. If I get involved in any malarkey they'll say I'm one of the bad people, loool :)

<UHF> Well I can't bet against Man City winning now that they have the million pound man.

Here is <Trevor Francis> for Birmingham as a young lad, putting the biscuit in the basket: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiJ...

Hang on it was Notts signed Trev for a million.

Does this mean Notts Forest will win the premiere championship this year?

Yes, yes it does.

<But in the past, gusting up to the present, as far as I know, Daniel has indeed already done what you suggest.>

Thank you for telling me. I've brought this up before, but Daniel never answered me, so I never knew he *had* used volunteer admins.

Aug-14-16  User not found: Jess.. Trevor Francis was England's first £1 million pounds player, signed by Brian Clough who won the European Cup aka the Champions League with Francis. He was only on something like £700 per week plus a goal bonus. That's definitely before my time but I know why Francis is famous plus he played in the WC at some point in my life so I remember who he is.

Abdel does bring up a point I've been meaning to ask. Have members of this site ever given out suspenions?

<Abdel> Sad to say, as you well know, one of his tried and true communicative gambits is the old "bait and switch." I doubt he's ever lied even once at cg.com, or in private email to a member, but he all too often indulges in disingenuous rhetoric in order to avoid making a decision.

I just busted him for it last week on the main page, as I'm sure you noticed.

Significant is that he *still* hasn't stated the actual reason he doesn't like the idea of "topic dedicated fora." He's content to pay lip service to the idea with no actual resolve to do anything about the <Rogoff> page. He'd rather just let the status quo lurch on.

This is a very strange kind of micro management. It's actually a form of micro *non* management.

I believe this is the principle reason his website has slowly been declining for years now. The financial situation reflects this decline, and it's really the most salient reason I stopped working here. I have little confidence in the long term sustainability of serious chess history work here, unless <Daniel> is willing to adopt a more rational management strategy.

<UHF> I love Trevor especially in the documentary I saw about <Sheffield Wednesday>. His generation of players was the first I saw as a kid, watching Match of the Day on the weekends. I've been watching since kindergarten, and also playing football- though I haven't had time to do that in ages.

I also remember Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalgleish, and Steve Archibald. I remember when Liverpool ruled the roost.

Actually these are my first sports memories- I've been an English football fan my whole life.

On the other topic, I don't know any of the details other than what I told <Abdel>. I do have something more to say about Daniel though, but I think I forgot what it was now lol.

Aug-14-16  User not found: Of course! Francis was the Sheffield Wednesday manager in the early 90's, coulda been england manager after the Graham Taylor era but kinda disappeared into obscurity. I remember the 92 or 93 season, not sure which one, definitely the season before Norwich beat Bayern Munich in the European Cup, and Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday were Utd's closest rivals that season.

Anyways.. I think everything would be okay on this site if Daniel looked at everything objectively. I don't care if Tony's been bringing him an apple every morning for the last 12 years, facts are facts. He's involved in every one's business, including 14 year old girls which of course OCF thinks is normal behaviour. Time for a change of the guard, the Old Guard have lost their marbles, lol

<UHF> Nowadays Trev does commentating for maybe BEIN Sports, or maybe on that Premiere League Pass network. I hear him regularly.

But for me the King of Kommentators is <Gary Neville>, who never misses a chance to tell us how gutless Chelsea is- even when Chelsea isn't playing the match he's commenting on. He really went to town a few years back when Chelsea went down- again- to PSG.

LOL

Aug-14-16  User not found: <<Gary Neville>, who never misses a chance to tell us how gutless Chelsea is- even when Chelsea isn't playing the match he's commenting on>

LOL. That's true though. "Can I just divert you back to the Chelsea game 3 months ago for poor defending!" LOL.

He's definitely a Fergie baby.

Six million forms of communication, not 2 billion. Sheesh, can't you accurately remember lines from 1970s movies???

<UHF>, <Hozza>

I was just sitting down to enjoy <Arsenal v Liverpool> and noticed no <Ozil>... not starting, not listed as a substitute...

IS HE REALLY GOING TO CHELSEA??!!??

This is stunning news, if true.

Aug-15-16  User not found: I highly doubt that Jess and let's say it's true then he must be getting Fabregas and a few quid in exchange. There's no way Wenger could just sell his 2nd best player without someone the fans deem better coming in as a replacement, they'd be appeased with Fabregas because he's a legend in North London

<UHF> You really know your football mate. The story I read yesterday said that there was a rumor <Ozil> would ship to Chelsea in exchange for <Fabregas>.

I'd rather have <Ozil> than <Fabregas>, though curiously both are named after petroleum products?!?

I didn't see <Giroud> and <Walcott> in the lineup either but maybe they are injured or still in Ibiza or something. Actually I still haven't watched the game yet, so please don't post the result.

I cued up the game last night, noticed the three <Arsenal> stars out of the lineup, and had a panic attack...

lol I'll be watching the game later this afternoon. I liked seeing <Sanchez> up there in the lone striking spot in the opening lineup. I wonder if he will pot a season opening goal...

Yesterday I did watch <Man City> notch their first win for PEEPER GLADIOLA but they looked a little anemic if you ask me. You couldn't exactly say City had their tails up in this game. Poor Joe Hart- did you see the look on his face when GAY CABALLERO let in a a goal?

The announcing team was quick to pounce on this-

Announcer 1: "Was that a smirk on Joe Hart's face?!

Announcer 2: "I can confirm that was definitely a smirk!!

I don't even know the result Jess. I'd be very surprised if Wenger went another season with Giroud up front because he's garbage, he'll get you 10 league goals a season at best and you need a striker who can get between 25-35 season in season out. They need an Alan Shearer, a 90 minute man who would never let you down and motivate his fellow players. As for Walcott it's long known that Arsenal have the worst medical staff in the premier league, Walcott is always injured (95% hamstring injuries!?) and look at Wilshere? How many games did he play last season, 2, 3? That's because Arsenal's back room team need to start from scratch, if Wilshere was at Old Trafford he wouldn't have all these niggling injuries. Players leave Arsenal for a reason nowadays, I can't see Sanchez staying more than one more season.

<Poor Joe Hart- did you see the look on his face when GAY CABALLERO let in a a goal?

LOL :)

In all seriousness Joe Hart will be the next player out of the door at Man City. He went from the 2nd best keeper in the world to the worst. His head should be on a spike outside the FA along with 22 other people.

And check this.. I get a private message last night from a lovely guy who's a member of this site saying "Tony contacted me and he says he believes you about <Keyser Soze> now". Errmm. He's sending other people to cop a plea for him because he knows what's about to happen to him. And not <once> have I cared if Tony Palmer believed a word I say anyway! Best thing he can do is cosy back up to that little oddball because they're both facing 2 different kinds of justice. I don't lie!

<UHF> quick report- back later- I'm still watching the first half of <Arsenal v Liverpool> and what a sweet goal Walcott just scored! He's a natural striker and he has the finish to prove it.

lol apparently Walcott *was* in the lineup today- he's playing behind Sanchez.

What a game- it turned into the <Coutinho> show, and 7 goals later...

Exciting, but the best part was <Gary Neville> doing the color for sky sports on this one. I love his accent.

Is it a Liverpool accent brah.
