Nov-05-16  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: Is there anyone nowadays doing his brand of satire do you think?>

I think not. Back in his day, everybody thought they were going to die by nuclear combat toe to toe with the Russkies. So the humor was much darker than today.

<Teem> Shirley, the humor doesn't get any darker than the fact that your new president may be Donald Trump.

Do you think he'll say this in his inaugural address?

<Travolta> heh every song on BILLION DOLLAR BABIES is an anthem, and yes Alice would make a better president. As you know, he's really smart, well-informed and such. He's excellent in an interview on any subject.

Frankly, I'm making tentative plans to move to the Great White North in the unlikely event of a Trump victory. What inoculations will I need to sneak into Canyatta?

I had the end of it on while working on photos, so I got some sense of it. I can probably view it on demand when I have more time. Zombie movies are not usually my thing, but this seems offbeat enough to try. I was looking at the cast list and it has Charles Dance and Lena Headey from <Game of Thrones>, Matt Smith from <Doctor Who>, and Dolly Wells from Patrick Stewart's surreal series <Blunt Talk>. Those were the ones I recognized.

Nov-07-16  Boomie: <Jessimus: Boxing Day, eh?>

Pacquiao took care of business against Vargas. It was surprisingly easy for him though the tale of the tape favored Vargas. Pacquiao throws a lot of leather from unusual angles. He's not easy to defend against.

He reminds me of Aaron Pryor. I'm guessing nobody threw as many punches as Pryor. He never seemed to tire and he fought in the days of the 15 rounder, not those sissy 12 rounders that pass for championship fights these days. Pryor was better than Pacquiao in my opinion. He had a streak of 26 KOs in a row. Watching the Arguello fight, one of the best all time, you wonder how anybody could go 15 rounds against Pryor.
