<Hozza> I had to slide past your footy post but I will be replying today- just one more match to catch up on that I'm about to watch right now- <Spurs vs Palace>. I look forward to reading your footy analysis later this afternoon!

<Hozza> Well I finally caught up on my footy so I've read your post closely now.

Fine analysis as usual. I don't disagree with anything you said. I'll be back later to say a bit more on your topics and add a few more of my own.

Just a few quick observations on <Spurs> for the moment- <Waynama> and <Serge Aurier> just aren't good enough and they are particularly poor when <Waynama> is playing the right side of midfield and <Aurier> is playing right wing back. They are both strong defenders and they always put in a shift but that's not good enough by itself.

They both have lead feet- they constantly give the ball away, their passing is atrocious and neither one of them can hit a decent cross to save their life.

Whilst watching <Spurs v Palace> I lost count of the number of times the commentator said "The cross has to be better" every single time <Aurier> attempted to hit the ball into the box from the right side.

One more thing- I understand the value of <Lamella> and I understand the logic of starting him to bring him up to full match fitness but <Son Heung min> is much the better player and especially given his recent form he should be starting every game- not <Lamella>. <Lamella> should be brought on as a sub for <Son>, not the other way round.

It's all about quality around the box. Can you score a goal or an assist there? <Waynama> scored on a special, special hit from 25 yards out a while back, but he might never do that again the rest of his life. Normally he is next to useless around the box.

<Aurier> is completely useless around the box. On the attack, <Lamella> is a cut above both <Aurier> and <Waynama> but he's nowhere near as good as <Son>.

I think <Pocket Chess> has made a mistake bringing in <Aurier> into the squad in the first place, and when <Trippier> recovers from the knock he got the other day he goes in on right wing back and we should NEVER have to watch <Aurier> squandering chance after chance again.

<Aurier> around the box reminds me of a 16 year old kid fumbling around the back of his girl's jumper because he has no idea how to get her bra off.

<Hozza> do you think Derby has a chance to get promotion in the next few years? If not, what are the road blocks?

I was surprised to see <Ozil> want to stay at <Arsenal> but I think you are right about <Arsen Bengal Tiger>. But I don't think they will ever fire him.

You are right about money ruling footy that's for sure. But I think it's even worse in the other European leagues. At least EPL has several contenders every year, instead of the one or two they have in every other league.

I don't think <Jose Feliciano> is the right match for <United> either. Fans want to see the kind of setup favored by <Gardioloa> or <Klop>. Also I think that <Jose> has difficulty relating to other human beings, which is a drawback in the dressing room. I have seen him criticize several different players in the post game interviews. You just don't do that. Only he does that. I think he may actually be insane, but I don't have any scientific proof or anything.

harrylime: Yo <Jess> as I said I'd be back later answering some of your points.Only I didn't think I'd be covered in snow. Slight exaggeration here but we in Blighty are enduring a Siberian Feb/March just now .. don't know how the Ruskies cope with it gotta say .. and it's snow joke.

Well my club should start looking into a new branding and badge. Instead of a Ram, a bottle for Bottlers would be more appropriate I think. Will we get promoted and what are the road blocks ?

For a start you need money and investment as we know, but that has to be targeted at the right players, the right fits for the club and it's squad ethos .. Over the past few years we've failed to do this whilst spending more than most in the championship. Wolves are an Ocean clear at the top because sure they've pumped in loads of dosh, but they have signed the right players and blended them into a winning squad with a good manager. We just haven't done this.

We have Rowett now who pushes little Jose all the way in post match interview boredom stakes.. if I hear him say " It gives us another option" one more time I will !! lol lol .... but he's changing our style into a much more direct and physical game which is more suited to getting out this league. We are one dynamic attacking midfielder and classy winger away from going up automatically I think .. yes that close .. but the playoffs is what we will get now it seems, which are a lottery.

You are bang on the money regarding football around the box. That is such a definitive area and clinical finishing and first touches are the difference between class players and ordinary players... that first touch is crucial.
