I sometimes post links to those video annotations on the relevant games here. Please use the "Subscribe" button on my channel page to keep notified of new ones.

Played in the main British Chess Championship twice now, scoring 4.5 and 5 respectively (out of 11 - it is tough!).

I have created various video annotation grouping pages, which may be of interest for you to check out:

I'm not named Kingscrusher for nothing. I learned chess at the age of 5 and have been addicted every since. It was through watching my father playing against my brother that I picked up the game.

My other hobbies watching the latest films, Computing, going out, seeing friends, watching TV.

The answer to life, the universe and everything was forty-two according the the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. But maybe for chess players it should be 64!!

When i was nearly 18, I managed to win the UK LLoyds bank Under 18 championship! In later years I attained a FIDE rating through the Lloyds bank Masters tournaments and through other tournaments such as Surrey and all play alls organised through Adam Raoof. Currently FIDE rated 2177. My BCF grading has been fluctuating over the years and is currently about 185 BCF, and I am play for Board 1 for both Barnet chess club and Muswell Hill chess club. My full chess cv can be found here:-

(sorry for the use of Wayback machine!)

In 2008, I finally qualified for the British Chess Championship by coming 2nd= at the Southend Open tournament with an ECF 206 performance.

University- I studied computing in business and obtained a 2:1 honours degree

My life advice is: have fun and enjoy life to the maximum! - I hope that chessworld.net helps in this goal! :-))))

Greetings to everyone once again! Very seldom do I post multiple blogs on a given day, but I simply could not help myself. It seems like almost every day I go on YouTube and watch a wide variety of videos although they most pertain to hockey, Vancouver, mountain climbing or tourist destinations. Every so often someone will point out one of the hundreds of videos of me playing chess on ICC/Playchess or from the World Blitz Championship. However, I was very pleasantly surprised to come across a video tonight by Kingcrusher entitled “How Nakamura won the ICC Open June 3-5 2011” It is great to see the many chess fans out there who make educational videos and post them on the internet for people to watch free of charge. In case anyone is interested, here is the link to Kingcrusher’s YouTube page.

For now, I’m going to go drink another Red Bull to stay awake and lose my voice yelling at my computer screen while watching the Vancouver Canucks play the Boston Bruins in game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals! Hopefully I will not wake up the whole hotel and get kicked out in the process, but some things are that important.

"Nak-ered" ahahahaha

Congratulations on such an epic piece of work, and congratulations on your high finish in your section of the ICC World Series of 3/0.

And how gratifying that Naka enjoyed your work and gave it some props too.

I added HOW NAKAMURA DESTROYED THE BEST 20 YEAR OLD GMS ON ICC to your <Nakamura> playlist.

I didn't manage to stay awake long enough to catch your live feed last night, but I did in fact register for KINGSCRUSHER'S LOUNGE ROOM and left a few comments.

I also watched one of your games WITH A QUEEN SAC and one of JOHN- ASSASSIN OF HEARTS LEAGUE.

Did you notice that your voice is more smooth and low volume on your live feeds?

Sounds good but I kind of miss your regular "youtube" voice where you might burst into laughter at any moment.

On the other hand, your "livestream voice" sounds very professional.

<Tryfon> are you going to transfer those shows to youtube? I'm thinking of your hours on the Alekhine live feeds.

I don't suppose it's technologically possible is it?

Do the archived live feeds such as your Alekhine videos stay in your live page library forever?

Is there any way I can save or download them?

Anyways it's wonderful. LIVE FEED.

Please forgive all the CAPITALS.

  kingscrusher: Hi Jess

Yep I transferred the Alekhine vs Capa yesterday as an experiment - there is a way!

I am transferring more of the non-bullet content over this morning now.

Hope Naka beats Carlsen today :)

jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> I'd like to see that too, if he isn't too "Nak-ered" from his ICC triumph.

Brilliant on figuring out the transfer!

I'll add the new material to your games collections.

Enjoy the games tonight.

How exciting eh? If you register and go to the home page, you'll find that you, too, can start your own TV channel.

Jun-11-11  dakgootje: Exciting indeed! Might still have an account on that site - not sure.

Ah well, guess I will make a new account Justin Case.

Jun-11-11  dakgootje: The livestream-site finds it hard to believe I want to be both logged in <and> watch a channel. It therefore decides, like an old-fashioned parent, I can't - because it's probably bad for me in any case.

AylerKupp: I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your recent Tal series since he's my favorite player. Keep up the good work!

And, in case you're not familiar with it, I wanted to introduce you to the following game: Portisch vs Tal, 1964. Yes, it's "just a draw" and I know that you indicated in one of your Tal videos that you don't like going over draws but you might make an exception of this one. Tal as Black gets outplayed by Portisch in the opening and, rather than accept a passive position, takes the bull by the horns and sacs a knight. Well, in typical Tal fashion a knight becomes a rook and Tal manages to muddy the waters so that at the end, short of time and with "only" a rook against 4 pawns, Portisch accepts a draw by repetition.

As I said in my kibitzing, I saw an article about the game shortly after it was played in the US Chess Life magazine and I still remember Chess Life's conclusion: "A game such as one seldom sees".
