Please share with friends this course page :)

I am "Tryfon Gavriel" officially on Chessgames.com's database:

and have played a few interesting games thankfully in my time so far :)

I do a popular youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/kingscrusher - where I am currently trying to do a regular series of instructive games. I sometimes post links to those video annotations on the relevant games here. Please use the "Subscribe" button on my channel page to keep notified of new ones.

Played in the main British Chess Championship twice now, scoring 4.5 and 5 respectively (out of 11 - it is tough!).

I have created various video annotation grouping pages, which may be of interest for you to check out:

I'm not named Kingscrusher for nothing. I learned chess at the age of 5 and have been addicted every since. It was through watching my father playing against my brother that I picked up the game.

My other hobbies watching the latest films, Computing, going out, seeing friends, watching TV.

The answer to life, the universe and everything was forty-two according the the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. But maybe for chess players it should be 64!!

When i was nearly 18, I managed to win the UK LLoyds bank Under 18 championship! In later years I attained a FIDE rating through the Lloyds bank Masters tournaments and through other tournaments such as Surrey and all play alls organised through Adam Raoof. Currently FIDE rated 2177. My BCF grading has been fluctuating over the years and is currently about 185 BCF, and I am play for Board 1 for both Barnet chess club and Muswell Hill chess club. My full chess cv can be found here:-

(sorry for the use of Wayback machine!)

https://web.archive.org/web/2019081...

In 2008, I finally qualified for the British Chess Championship by coming 2nd= at the Southend Open tournament with an ECF 206 performance.

University- I studied computing in business and obtained a 2:1 honours degree

My life advice is: have fun and enjoy life to the maximum! - I hope that chessworld.net helps in this goal! :-))))

jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> thanks so much for posting the Andrew Martin video on Bobby- I think Andrew Martin is fabulous.

I've been watching all of your radio shows- I download them and watch them on the weekends in parts, as training exercises.

I hope all is well with you- I have purchased Sony Vegas Pro 11 video editing suite, and it's taking me months to learn how to use it.

If I ever do learn how, documentaries on <Sultan Khan> and <Alexander Alekhine> are in the pipe. My main goal in life is to release at least one more chess history documentary before I die of old age.

I think ANAND will hold his title?!

Many thanks. Unfortunately I don't have that footage of my blitz game with Naka - all I have is him playing WGM Stefanova

Perhaps the quick sort option could be by the latest videos uploaded, to make it easier to find out if any have been missed.

I am starting to construct a Playlist overview page here (just started it today) :

  jessicafischerqueen: Good heavens!

Where did you get all those nicknames from?!

Ok updating and coordinating playlists sounds in order. I'll take a good look at the new overview page, but I won't be able to do any serious work until the weekend.

<Tryfon> I tell you what would help me:

Would you consider telling <OnlineChess Lessons> http://www.youtube.com/user/OnlineC... to

A: Stop using "kingscrusher" in the keyword tag section of all their videos?!

B: Tell them to delete "kingscrusher" from all of their keyword tags.

Because right now when I youtube search "Kingscrusher Nakamura" or any other Master, tons of their videos show up in the search results, which really slows down the process of finding your videos.

It's really annoying and I almost fired off a message to them. However it shouldn't be me who does that. Maybe you have a cross promotional agreement with them?

If you do, then never mind. If you don't then I bet they will honor your request to delete your name from their key word tags on their videos.

It would be twice as fast to do this work if you got them to stop using your name in the keyword boxes.

May-22-12  wordfunph: <kingscrusher> will copy your list to my collection of monikers, thanks a bunch!

I may put that Playlist structure page as a link in my video descriptions of the more viewed videos - so hopefully we should start to see in the next few days and weeks, more visits to the Playlists.

jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> sounds like a good idea. You know what though, I think the new Youtube design has discouraged the old practice of visiting a friend or subscriber's page and looking around for what's there.

I get many fewer private messages now, and almost no channel comments.

The channel comment viewer is "hidden" in that it's not prominent on the default channel page, you have to click "feed" and then "comments".

In addition, the "send a message" link for a given user on their channel page is missing most of the time.

I used to get tons of channel views, now they are very low.

So fewer people will come to my page and browse through my videos, or browse through my playlists.

It's very sad that youtube did this. It's made it much less of a community.

But I'll still update all your playlists, maybe there's other ways to promote them like you said.
