WannaBe: Ok, here's my sympathy vote: <WannaBe> =)

(Get myself a head-start for the funniest... =)

Dec-19-07  Red October: best informed - Comrade Acirce
Dec-19-07  Larsker: <Товарищ политиче- ский комиссар : acirce>

This is reminding me of the old Karpov vs Korchnoi days. First the communist symbol elected best avatar – and now comrade acirce. What’s next? Funniest kibitzer: Stalin?

Dec-19-07  technical draw: Hello, my name is Jerry Lewis. (yes, that Jerry Lewis!) My friend "technical draw" asked me to write a note when the "funniest kibitzer" voting started, but since a certain "wannabe" is cheating trying to get a head start he has asked me to write it now. Dr. Draw is the funniest man alive and a senior member of my writing team. In fact almost all my jokes were written by him. Dr. Draw also contributes a million dollars every year to my telethon and is on the medical team searching for a cure for MD. I would be a nobody if not for technical draw (even his name is funny). So take it from someone that knows the humor business , vote for TD the funniest man alive. Do it for Jerry's kids......Tks....J..Lewis...

Dec-19-07  Open Defence: by funny we do not mean loco type funny
Dec-19-07  Larsker: Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend. Inside a dog it’s too dark to read. <Groucho Marx>

Dec-19-07  technical draw: <Wannabe> Why don'to you just sjsay it...i"I don't know squat aboubt keyboards......
Dec-19-07
Premium Chessgames Member
  WannaBe: Okay, seriously...

Double check to see there are no gunks stuck in your keyboard, turn your keyboard upside-down and shake it a bit, that should get most of your crap out of there...

Maybe the keyboard is old?? Need to replace it?

Dec-19-07  technical draw: Tks <wannabe> the KB was repeating tletters and spaces and adding letters not entered I tuIrned e it upside down and nothing f fell out.. Gueess it's time for ao new KB...Tks...
Dec-19-07  MostlyAverageJoe: <technical draw> Wiggle the connectors on both end of your keyboard cable. Disconnect/reconnect a couple times. Could be oxidized.

  jessicafischerqueen: <oxidized>?

Try boiling water and then add an <Oxo> brand <compressed soup stock cube>.

Then pour liberally over the keyboard.

It should "loosen" things up a bit.

I only found this out by accidentally spilling soup on my laptop.

JFQ

WannaBe: Looks like CNN, FOX, BBC, ABC, CBS, CBC, Al-Jezeera, People's Daily (Peking), Worker's Daily (Shanghai), Comrades Daily (Ho Chi Ming City), Revolucion Daily (Havanna), have all declared a winner already.

However, NBC is still not quite sure what is going on.

  jessicafischerqueen: <MannBee>

So I'm guessing <acirce> garnered the <prestigious and coveted MannBee Award> for <most informed>?

Congratulations to him! I believe he has also made more kibbutzes than any one else in history.

Regards,
JFQ
