WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

Thanks for the link.

perfidious: Anyone play the over on the third quarter?

chancho: <WannaBe> If it isn't one thing it's another.

I download the 64 bit from the link you sent me.

I then change to Chess Viewer Deluxe II and it says:

<Application blocked by Security Settings.

Your security settings have blocked untrusted application from running.>

chancho: <WannaBe> I went to Java Control Panel and clicked on security.

It was in the very high setting.

I lowered it to the recommended setting, but I still cannot get the Chess Deluxe Viewer to work.

WannaBe: <chancho> what about enabling 'Mix Mode', under 'Advanced' tab, about 3/4 way down?

chancho: <WannaBe> Enabling mix mode did the trick.

Thanks.

WannaBe: <chancho> Good... Now my Win7 Ultimate work machine is hosed... Browser refuse to do anything if I select a game.

Grrrrrrrr!

WannaBe: Well, this is F****** up, both my Win7 Ult and Win8 Pro won't run games after Java 7 update 13...

Grrrrrrrrr.

WannaBe: Solved the Win7 problem, the installer from Oracle is 'dumb', I have to:

Control Panel -> Java -> Java -> View -> Add -> C: -> Program Files -> Java -> JRE 7 -> Bin -> Next -> Finish

STUPID!!!

Now, if I can only find the same thing in Win8, because WinDoze decided to hide/change every freakin' d@ng thing!

WannaBe: Weird, that issue only happens with Win7 Ult. with Win7 Pro it does not happen.

(I am also guess not with Home, I think <chancho> have home edition...)

And I did not need to re-enable mixed mode on the Ult. and Pro. edition.

WannaBe: Win8 solved, somehow the update (did, or something I did) wiped out JRE, after a complete re-install, things are cool.

WannaBe: IE10 got this Enhanced Protection Mode that keeps on turning off my java stuff when I am on CG.

Turned it off, Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced, about the 10th check box from bottom.

Wireless spotty, not sure if it's the wireless antennae or the wireless adaptor in the XPS 12, or if Win8 screwed something up, sometimes have to reboot Win8 for it to connect to Wireless Access Point in office.

WannaBe: If you like to 'design' your own desktop's icons, Win8 with XPS12 may not be the best option for you.

e.g. I like to have my folders on the right hand side, with my Recycle Bin on the bottom right hand corner.

My left hand side are all short cuts and/or files that I need to get access to quickly.

Since the XPS 12 is a convertible, and you can rotate the screen, it screws up the layout of the icons everytime you turn the dang thing on Desktop Mode.

Grrrrr....

WannaBe: Games, solitaire, freecell, hearts, or spider solitaire, are gone, under the Game tile are Xbox games, and you need to be online.

Haven't found a way to get around this yet... Need to look some more.
