WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

WannaBe: I know between iOS 6 and 7, the way to copy and paste are different, so, yes, it is very possible that Chrome changed.
Oct-15-13  Travis Bickle: I'm still using Vista, does that make a difference?
Oct-15-13  Travis Bickle: Sorry for all the questions but you probably forgot more than I know about Computer OS's. ; P

WannaBe: <Travis Bickle> No, Vista or XP or Win7 or Win8 does not make a difference.

It's like if you drive a Ford, and if you use Shell, Union 76, or Chevron for gas.

Something changed, and it's not your operating system (Ford) so I am trying to figure out if the gas you use changed.

Oct-15-13  Travis Bickle: Thanks Doc for the effort you've put into this! Mucho appreciation!

WannaBe: <Travis Bickle> So, which versio of Chrome are you using?
Oct-16-13  Travis Bickle: I looked up the file location for Google Chrome and this is all I could find. Created - ‎ Wednesday, ‎July ‎31, ‎2013, ‏‎12:09:08 AM

So it has to be 1 of the latest versions.

I couldn't find anything saying it was Google Chrome 23 million or any recognizable version that it was.

WannaBe: <Travis Bickle> I installed the latest version of Chrome, and I went to YouTube, but I can't reproduce what you experienced.
Oct-16-13  Travis Bickle: So I have some kind of glitch. I'll delete & re-download Google Chrome. Thanks <wannabe>!

Oct-19-13  Jim Bartle: UCLA- Stanford this afternoon. It might finally be the Broons' turn.

WannaBe: <Jim Bartle> Expect a difficult game from Stanford. They are pretty upset after losing at Utah last week... Or were they lookin' ahead too much?
Oct-19-13  Jim Bartle: I don't know about today, but when I was a student the team had a terrible habit of losing the game the week before the big USC game to an inferior opponent, including two to Purdue.

Stanford up 17-10 in the fourth.

WannaBe: Almost as bad a game as the one I saw in person back in '90, when I came up to Oakland's Mills College to visit a friend and went to a UCLA-Stanford game.

This was before they renovated the stadium (horse-shoe shaped) and the end zone seats left splinters in my rear-end.

Oct-19-13  Jim Bartle: Yeah, the stadium was huge, with a track, and wooden benches. I read some of the rich fans who went to the 1985 Super Bowl were not happy with sitting on benches.

They managed to completely remake the stadium between one season and the next, starting the night after the last game. Capacity was reduced from 85,000 to 55,000, and the track (site of many important meets) was eliminated.

WannaBe: Former UW football coach D. James passed away, I remember many good, exciting, heart-breaking games of Huskies vs. Bruins when T. Donahue was the coach for UCLA.
Oct-24-13  Thanh Phan: Greetings! and express a sorry to intrude, but wished to ask what you or your wife's favorite song types are?

For myself I have dance remix and việt remix or russian music as favorites, I wander between việt, chinese, russian, and english if cornered, I don't have many who listen to their language types, so my alternate songlist is limited,

A note, my understanding in Chinese is a bit limited still, I have a tutor since I expressed an interest in their language, and have been studying about half a year, so at least some of their songs I can understand

WannaBe: <Thanh Phan> Well, as far as the 'wife' question, I don't have one/not married. =)

I enjoy old music, classicals (Mozart, Brahm, even Wagner) to Jazz, to Classic Rock (Rollin' Stones, Queen, etc.)

Yes, I am Chinese, but after 30+ years in U.S. my Chinese is about as good as my chess games.

I definitely am more comfortable speaking/typing in English than any other language.

(But I can get by with Chinese, but not very well. =)

Oct-24-13  Thanh Phan: <WannaBe> Express both my embarrassment and lack of thought towards what I perceived as your family status,

About the <classicals (Mozart, Brahm, even Wagner)> nice selection ^.^ also many thanks for your response,

I think 'losing' a language ability is more on your interactions instead of where you moved to, even hearing constant bickering in a language, would help you retain a language, although I don't recommend seeking bickering people, language notwithstanding

Oct-26-13  JimNorCal: Thanks for stopping by at the coffee shop, have a great SoCal visit next week.

See you next time.

Oct-30-13  chessmoron: Ha! Lakers beat the overrated Clippers.
Oct-30-13  NakoSonorense: WannaBe seems to hate on the Lakers, but I don't think he's revealed which team he supports. Maybe he just doesn't like Kobe?
