WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

WannaBe: How to make the World Championship Match more interesting.

Games 1 and 2 must be 1. e4

Games 3 and 4 must be 1. d4

Games 5 and 6 must be 1. c4

Games 7 and 8 must be 1. f4

Game 9 and 10 must be 1. b4

Game 11 and 12 must be 1. a4

Games 13 and 14 must be 1. g4

Games 15 and 16 must be 1. h4

Of course, Bookie won't be putting out opening move wagers, but it will force the 2 competitors to think about the later games in tbhe match.

WannaBe: Streaming the radio play-by-play (http://kzsulive.stanford.edu/) for the Stanford-USC game, apparently the broadcasting booth (at least for Stanford) is having problem, the announcers have said, because their booth phone line keeps on going in/out. (Phone line? Dial up modem?)

And, they said, they can't get any cell phone reception. OK, I can understand that, when I am at AT&T Park, or O.com Park (Where SF Giants and Oakland A's play), I can't text/receive worth crap, either. Too many people twitting/facebook/instagram, what have you.

'SC took over the Coliseum a few years back, you'd think they'd put in some 'decent' network in there? Maybe even some free WiFi? Like Stanford have? At&T's name is all over the free WiFi (sign) at Stanford.

Heck, even <I> can go in there and jerry-rig some network for them.

Nov-17-13  Jim Bartle: "That helmet for UCLA color and background are just atrocious."

UCLA in anything but the classic powder blue is a crime.

Nov-17-13  Travis Bickle: Congrats on The RAIDERZZZ Victory!

WannaBe: <Travis Bickle> Thanks, in my pool, I also picked them to win (no spread).

Did you cause the weather delay in the Bal-Chi game, today?? =)

Nov-18-13  Travis Bickle: No but I did contact the former Fighting Illini Mascot Chief to do a rain dance to produce "Bear weather"... ; P

WannaBe: Boy, UCLA gotta suck it up in the second half... Ugh.
Nov-23-13  Jim Bartle: New to me: The Broons were penalized for having two players with the same number.

Worked out, though. ASU messed up the punt and UCLA scored right away.

  WannaBe: Ugh, missed FG. Ugh!!
Nov-25-13  technical draw: <WannaBe> The field goal kicker is either:

A: The most loved player
B: The most hated player
C: The youngest player to have a heart attack

He's the equivalent of a relief pitcher in baseball except that it's the World Series 7th game every time he's called to kick.

Nov-25-13  Jim Bartle: Also very important on any kick are the center and the holder. It's not so easy to get the ball down and set up to be kicked in a second and a half. The Rose Bowl came down to a shortish field goal one year, and I wasn't nervous for the kicker, I just prayed the holder--a friend of mine--didn't mess up.
