May-21-22  technical draw: The Cincinnati Reds pitched a no-hitter! And they lost. They lost 1-0 against the Pirates. The Pirates scored on 3 walks and a ground out. Whatever happened to the big red machine?

WannaBe: <technical drawing: ... Whatever happened to the big red machine?>

Waddaya? A freakin' Commie or Pinko? The Big Red Machine ended the same time Berlin Wall came down, (or was it when it erected)?

🤣🤦‍♂️🤪⚾⚾

WannaBe: So, I am picking up 1/2 way through Strange New World Episode 3. (Got tired and fell asleep, or at least that is what I am sticking with).

Albino Andorian turns down the lights and the doctor turns it up, (The doctor is infected). And that "sound"? Is from Star Trek IV, the Voyage home, it's whale sound.

May-22-22  technical draw: <WannaBe> <The Big Red Machine ended the same time Berlin Wall came down.>

And that's when I switched from the Cincinnati Reds to the New York Yankees. I only like winning teams, (except the Atlanta Braves which I hate.)

WannaBe: Leonard B. on the piano is still my favourite version, but heck, my future ex-wife is not bad:

May-24-22  technical draw: Thanks <WannaBe> for that link. I love the intro clarinet (or soprano sax) opening of Rhapsody in Blue.

BTW in the animation the store has a sign that reads כשר or kosher. Which makes me think of New York City. In fact the opening of Rhapsody in Blue always makes me think of New York City.

May-24-22  Z free or die: <<TD> I love the intro clarinet (or soprano sax) opening of Rhapsody in Blue.>

Clarinet - next to back row on the right, just to the left of the two bassoon players.

May-24-22  technical draw: <Z free or die>. Thanks I see him now. Chubby guy with head full of gray hair. Of course the opening is for clarinet but you can see the soprano sax player to the left also playing.
May-24-22  diceman: <technical draw:

Who knew Gershwin had mob ties.

May-24-22  technical draw: <Who knew Gershwin had mob ties.>

Yep, his real name was Guiseppi "Ten Fingers" Gershiwini. Legend says that he hid bodies in his upright piano depositing them in the east river when the smell got too bad. It was also said that his hit song "I Got Rhythm" was inspired by a body in a piano that wasn't completely dead and kept moving as he was transported to the river. If I'm lying I'm dying.
