Apr-06-06  Mameluk: The website is really rather experimental, on the other hand, he website of Nisipeanu-Topalov match looks tremendous. And now one of the best news in last years:

A) Time control

FIDE confirms, that in Continental Championships, the World Cup, and the Olympiad, additional 30 minutes (instead of 15 minutes) will be added after move 40. The change should allow the players to finish their games in the proper way. The time control in Candidates Matches and the World Championship Tournament remain unchanged

Apr-06-06  Bobak Zahmat: GO CHUCKY!
Apr-06-06  PhilFeeley: The website is truly terrible. It takes a long time to come up (and sometimes doesn't) and it's hard to find the results. In fact, I don't think there's even a link for the results - or a crosstable. The link to the list of players also refuses to display.
Apr-06-06  Bobak Zahmat: You should try the playchess.com server for following live games. Their connestion is excellent.
Apr-06-06  AlexandraThess: So poor website covering such an important event....However i have never expected anything good to come out of Turkey

Apr-06-06  Bobak Zahmat: <percyblakeney: Ivanchuk finally won in the third round, against Kurnosov. Erwin L'Ami sole leader now with 3/3.> Why are the other games of the tournament not published yet? Do you know it?

keypusher: I think Kusadasi is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and Ephesus one of the most extraordinary. Hope I get back there some day. OK, resume normal programming.
Apr-06-06  percyblakeney: <Bobak Zahmat> It probably has to do with the bad home page of the tournament, it's hard to find even the results of the games there... Another page giving some facts from the tournament:

http://schach.wienerzeitung.at/Welt...

Apr-07-06  Bobak Zahmat: Hopefully we'll get the games at the end of the tournament.
Apr-07-06  notyetagm: Terrible website.
Apr-07-06  AlexandraThess: I would love to see Ulf Andersson winning the european title, but this is not likely to happen.
Apr-07-06  LoFarkas: So how many points does Ivanchuk have after 3 rounds? 2 or 1 1/5? I need to know, I bet 50 chessbucks on him!
